Butch Gets Name Change Back to Pete Dunne at Friday’s SmackDown Show
Friday’s SmackDown show featured The Brawling Brutes’ Butch officially getting his old ring name of Pete Dunne back.
This name change was originally setup during last week’s SmackDown show following a cafe segment teasing the return of Butch’s old Pete Dunne name.
During tonight’s show, Tyler Bate made his entrance for his tag team match against Pretty Deadly. After Bate came out, Butch made his appearance next but came out under his old ring name of Pete Dunne along with his old entrance video and wrestling gear. While Dunne was able to get back his old ring name and entrance video in WWE, the same could not be said of his old entrance theme due to him coming out to a new generic version of it instead.

WWE Women’s Tag Titles Challenge Issued at Friday’s SmackDown
Friday’s SmackDown show also featured Damage CTRL issuing an official challenge for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship.
Following Kayden Carter and Katana Chance’s victory over the Unholy Union to retain their WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship, Damage CTRL’s Asuka and Kairi Sane entered the ring and took the Women’s Tag titles. Asuka and Sane proceeded to dance with the belts before being told by the referee to give those belts back. Sane went down on one knee and gave the belt that she took back which led to Carter and Chance saying if they wanted a shot at their titles, then they can have it.
