AEW Pays Tribute to Jay Briscoe on One-Year Anniversary of His Passing

Wednesday was the one-year anniversary of the passing of Jay Briscoe, real name Jamin Pugh, following a tragic car accident that claimed the life of Pugh and one other person.

Prior to the start of Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show in North Charleston, AEW paid tribute to the life and legacy of the late Briscoe on social media.

During Wednesday’s show, Briscoe’s brother Mark gave an emotional speech to the crowd honoring his late brother and stated how a doctor had told him that his oldest niece would not be able to walk again due to the injuries she suffered in the car accident. Briscoe then brought out his two nieces who walked out on their own to a huge ovation from the crowd and gave them a big hug.
