AEW: Over 27k Tickets for First 2 Days of All In 2 Pre-sale, Jon Moxley on AEW’s Identity “Should Always Be Different”, More News

AEW Reportedly Distributed Over 27K Tickets for All In 2’s Presale

WrestleTix reported that AEW is currently estimated to have distributed around 27,349 tickets for the first two days of their pre-sale for their All In 2 event on August 25, 2024 at Wembley Stadium in London, England.

It was reported that this estimate could be as high as 29,000 depending on if certain unknown sections on the ticket map were actually included in the pre-sale.

In regards to the current amount of tickets available, it was reported that AEW’s All In 2 event has a current capacity of around 40,403 based on the current ticket map layout.

For some comparisons, it was reported that AEW had distributed around 43,000 tickets for the first two days of their pre-sale for this past August’s All In event. It was reported that AEW was not expected to match this number for next year’s event.

The Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer reported that one reason for the lower number for AEW’s pre-sale was due to a lot of tickets were priced much higher for next year’s event compared to this past August’s event. Another reason was due to many people were frustrated over not being allowed to pick a specific seat during the initial hours of the pre-sale and had to wait until Ticketmaster went live in order to do so.

Jon Moxley Comments on AEW’s Identity “Should Always Be Different”

Comicbook.com held a recent interview with Jon Moxley. One of the topics discussed included Moxley’s thoughts about why it is important for AEW to remember that their identity is meant to be an alternative from other promotions.

“When it comes to matches like that, that’s one small thing that we can do differently than anybody else in this s–t. That was one thing I remember, telling (AEW President) Tony [Khan] that when I first came in. ‘If you’re going to put me in one of these matches, be careful what you wish for because I am not in the business of under-delivering.’ I’m not spitting some taglines of like, I’m going to crush your skull with my fingers and pull out your eyeballs and all this s–t and then we’re not going to do it. AEW has been able to consistently deliver on that. I think it’s very important for us to always remember where this started in the first place, which was the need in the industry for an alternative. We should always be different. We should always be thinking about what we can deliver that nobody else can. Otherwise, we’re just another wrestling company, of which there have been a million. Not every single match needs to be chopping each other’s heads off. But that’s one small thing and I definitely feel like I’ve definitely held up my end on that in that small area of the business. If you can’t be the first in a category, create a new category in which you can be the first.”

Moxley also gave his thoughts about his current 14-month delay for his scheduled vacation in AEW.

“I don’t even think I was going to go anywhere. I don’t know, maybe at some point [I’ll take time off]. I guess I feel that there’s always something to do. “Oh, we need a main event.” “Oh, we got this Continental Classic.” There’s always something around the corner.”

Moxley also gave his thoughts about CM Punk’s “I’m home” promo at this past Monday’s WWE RAW show.

“You don’t want to know what I think. I didn’t see it. You do not want to know what I think (laughs).”

As noted before, QT Marshall announced on Monday that he has officially resigned from AEW and will be departing from the company at the end of the year. Cody Rhodes recently commented on Twitter about Marshall’s resignation from AEW. Rhodes statedDid the work – was essential in making so many memories for fans & has been so instrumental in helping countless wrestlers. A pros’ PRO. We almost became friends ha. I can’t wait to see what you do next! An OG and outstanding “num 2” through his tenure. Congratulations QT on the run so far.

In a recent interview with BBC West Midlands, AEW CEO Tony Khan was asked for his thoughts about CM Punk’s recent return to WWE. Khan responded stating “Can’t talk about that, nor do I think it’s the time or the place. I appreciate you asking and I’m very excited about AEW All In at Wembley Stadium. Not to dodge or duck your question, it’s just something I can’t legally talk about.” (Transcript h/t: Fightful.com)

Mike Bennett recently reflected on Twitter about his time in AEW has made him fall back in love with professional wrestling. Bennett statedI love @AEW and all it represents. It made me fall back in love with pro wrestling. Forever grateful to be a part of this company.

Besides Mike Bennett, Anthony Henry also recently reflected on Twitter about how his time in AEW saved his wrestling career. Henry stated@AEW saved my career in professional wrestling. I went from the highest high of working my dream job for WWE, to the lowest low, 7 months later, when I was released. I had a 2 year lease on a house I had to abandon, and a daughter I had to, yet again, uproot. I went back home to Augusta defeated. I was injured, while with them, and was released and left to figure it out on my own, as all treatment was stopped. I wanted to quit wrestling all together. Then I was messaged about coming up to work an AEW dark taping. I worked with Eddie Kingston and the rest is history. Wrestling is wrestling and nothing is ever perfect. It is a chaotic business. However, I have been treated so well by AEW, and I am so thankful they came around and helped me. Point is, whether you like WWE or AEW, understand that it is okay to simply support the industry as a whole, & those in it. Maybe do not attack people because they are happy in a promotion that you feel a certain way about. I promise no promotion is without flaws. Just be kind.

Dustin Rhodes recently reflected on Twitter about his recovery from alcohol and drug addiction. Rhodes statedWe are only human and everybody has their own dis functions and problems. If I could say anything to anybody who is struggling with alcohol or drug addiction, I would say HOPE. As a recovering alcoholic/drug addict, it took a hard rock bottom and a spiritual awakening to show me that I needed help. I had had enough and wanted my life back. I had to work hard to get it back. I know its scary, but, like myself, I needed and got help. It is out there for everyone. Accountability, recognize you have a problem, ask for help. It’s tough but once you get on the other side, it rewards 10 fold. You CANNOT DO IT ALONE. I love you.
