Xia Li Makes Surprise NXT Return & Gets NXT Women’s Title Match

Tuesday’s NXT show featured Xia Li making her surprise return to WWE’s NXT brand.

During an in-ring promo segment, NXT Women’s Champion Lyra Valkyria reflected about her match and title victory over Becky Lynch at Night 1 of NXT Halloween Havoc 2023 show. Valkyria stated that every bit of her story that has been told is true. Valkyria also stated that she is not the only woman who dreams of holding the NXT Women’s title and the NXT Women’s locker room is full of hungry competitors. This led to Li coming out from the crowd and asking Valkria if she saw what she did to her hero Lynch at last night’s WWE RAW show. Valkyria responded stating that she did and reminded Li what Lynch told her. Li responded stating that she wants to take Valkyria’s title and showed that she means business after knocking out a member of security that tried to stop her. Valkyria then responded stating that if Li really wants a title shot then she can have it.

Tiffany Stratton & Dijak Advances to Women’s & Men’s Iron Survivor Challenge Matches

Tuesday’s NXT show featured one Women’s and one Men’s qualifying matches for the Women’s and Men’s Iron Survivor Challenge matches at WWE’s NXT Deadline 2023 event, which takes place on December 9th in Bridgeport, Connecticut.

The first match was Tiffany Stratton defeating Fallon Henley in a Women’s Iron Survivor Challenge Qualifier match.

The finish to this match involved Stratton setting up a Prettiest Moonsault Ever only for Henley to dodge away and roll-up Stratton for the near fall. Stratton then sent Henley into the turnbuckles and followed it with a chop block to knock down Henley. Stratton then hit a Prettiest Moonsault Ever for the pinfall victory to advance to the Women’s Iron Survivor Challenge match at NXT Deadline 2023.

The second match was Dijak defeating Tyler Bate in a Men’s Iron survivor Challenge Qualifier match.

The finish to this match involved Bate hitting a German Superplex to Dijak only for Dijak to counter it by landing on his feet. Dijak then hit a clothesline to Bate for a nearfall. Dijak then hoisted up Bate on his shoulders for a Fest Your Eyes but Bate escaped and punched Dijak in return. Bate attempted a Tyler Driver 97 only for Dijak to escape leading to Bate hitting Dijak with a knee lift to daze him. Bate attempted a move off the top rope only for Dijak to catch Bate and hit him with a Feat Your Eyes for the pinfall victory to advance to the Men’s Iron Survivor Challenge match at NXT Deadline 2023.
