WWE Teases The Undertaker Appearance for Oct. 10th NXT Show

Friday’s WWE SmackDown show in St. Louis, Missouri featured WWE airing an ad for next week’s NXT show hyping up the upcoming appearances by John Cena, Paul Heyman, Asuka, and Cody Rhodes.

As the video went to a black screen for the end of it, a church bell rang resembling the signature intro to WWE Hall of Famer The Undertaker’s entrance theme teasing him also making a special appearance at next week’s NXT show.

PWInsider’s Mike Johnson had reported earlier today that his sources stated that The Undertaker was currently scheduled to be at WWE’s Performance Center in Orlando, Florida for next week’s NXT show. At the time of his report, Johnson reported that it was not known if The Undertaker would be making an on-screen appearance during NXT’s show.

Next week’s NXT show on Tuesday, October 10th is notable for going head-to-head against AEW Dynamite’s Title Tuesday show due to Dynamite being preempted from their normal Wednesday timeslot due to MLB Playoffs coverage on TBS.

New Updated Match for Card of WWE Fastlane 2023

Friday’s SmackDown show in St. Louis also featured one newly updated match for the card of WWE Fastlane 2023, which takes place on October 7th at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana.

This newly updated match is a Six-Man Tag Team match of The LWO (Santos Escobar, Rey Mysterio, & mystery partner) vs. Bobby Lashley & The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford).

While this match was initially setup at last week’s SmackDown show, the mystery partner was never actually revealed by Mysterio but he implied that it would be either Joaquin Wilde or Cruz Del Toro.

During tonight’s show, Mysterio competed in a singles match against Bobby Lashley that got out of hand near the end of it due to the LWO and Street Profits brawling on the outside. This eventually led to Mysterio being distracted enough for Lashley to hit Mysterio with a spear for the pinfall win.

In a follow-up backstage segment, Mysterio came out of the WWE doctor’s room and informed Escobar and Zelina Vega that Wilde and Del Toro would no longer be available for the LWO’s match at this Saturday’s Fastlane 2023 event over the injuries they suffered during the LWO’s brawl with the Street Profits earlier. This led to Mysterio stated that he was going to make a call to someone to remedy this issue for the LWO.
