Rumor Killer on WWE’s Hiring Freeze for New Talent Signings

As noted before, WWE is currently rumored to have been in a hiring freeze for new talent signings since Vince McMahon’s return to the company this past January and the company being fully focused on their sale to a new owner.

Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that his sources stated that the rumors of WWE currently being in a hiring freeze over these past few months are not true. Meltzer reported that WWE is still operating as business as usual when it comes to being in talks and signings with potential new talent they are interested in.

Rhea Ripley Comments on Her Match with Charlotte Flair “Stole the Show” at WrestleMania 39

A recent episode of the WWE After The Bell with Corey Graves podcast had Rhea Ripley as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Ripley’s thoughts on her belief that her match against Charlotte Flair for the SmackDown Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 39 had “stole the show.”

“Coming out of that match, I did feel like we stole the show. I feel like we went out there and left everything we had in that ring and that’s why we proved to everyone exactly why we should have been in the main event spot.

Yes, we didn’t have a good build like Sami and Owens and The Usos did but at the same time Charlotte and I every time we step in that ring, we bring the brutality, we bring the ferociousness, we go out there and we just beat the every loving crap out of each other.

It was just such an overwhelming feeling of adrenaline, and excitement and just pure happiness, I want to say. Because going into, obviously, WrestleMania 36, Charlotte was one of my dream opponents since I started in the WWE and I finally got that and then it didn’t really get ripped away but the feeling of WrestleMania got ripped away. So then going into WrestleMania 39 and knowing that we have the crowd, we have the stage, I’m against Charlotte again for a different championship, my family’s there, it was just like everything came together and it was just so full of positive vibes.”
