Pro Wrestling NOAH held a recent interview with NOAH talent and wrestling legend Keiji Muto. One of the topics discussed included Muto revealing that his original choice for the opponent for the final match of his on-going retirement tour was for it to be Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.
Muto stated that while he tried to get Johnson as a potential opponent, Johnson’s asking fee was way higher than what NOAH and CyberAgent was willing to spend, which he stated was in the “billions of yen.”
Muto also stated that he currently feels that his upcoming match against NJPW’s Tetsuya Naito later this month will be better than the match he had under his Great Muta character against WWE’s Shinsuke Nakamura at NOAH’s Great Muta Final Bye-Bye event this past January.
