Saturday’s AEW Full Gear 2022 event in Newark, New Jersey featured an AEW World Trios Championship match between the Elite (Kenny Omega & The Young Bucks) and champions Death Triangle (PAC & The Lucha Brothers), which was won by Death Triangle.
Later in the show, it was announced that The Elite and Death Triangle will be competing in a Best of Seven series for the AEW World Trios titles with the team who reaches four wins first to be the overall winner. It was also announced that Death Triangle’s win at the event counted as the first match for this series giving them a 1-0 lead over The Elite.

- Match 2 – November 23rd AEW Dynamite in Chicago, Illinois
- Match 3 – November 30th AEW Dynamite in Indianapolis, Indiana
- Match 4- December 14th AEW Dynamite Winter Is Coming 2022 in Garland, Texas
- Match 5 (if necessary) – December 21st AEW Dynamite Holiday Bash 2022 in San Antonio, Texas
- Match 6 (if necessary) – December 28th AEW Dynamite New Year’s Smash 2023 in Denver, Colorado
- Match 7 (if necessary) – January 11th AEW Dynamite in Los Angeles, California
In regards to December 7th and January 4th, the Lucha Brothers’ Rey Fenix and Penta El Zero Miedo are currently scheduled to work for Lucha Libre AAA at their event on December 7th while Kenny Omega is currently scheduled to work for New Japan Pro Wrestling at their Wrestle Kingdom 17 event on January 4, 2023 in Tokyo, Japan.
