The February 14th edition of WWE’s AM Raw scored a 0.7 cable rating.
The Chicago Sun Times has an interview up with David Otunga, fiancé of singer Jennifer Hudson. Otunga wants to be a WWE star, and has joined Florida Championship wrestling in an effort to make that happen, which due to his association with Hudson, has gotten some good mainstream coverage for him. Matt Hardy’s has posted his latest WWE Universe Blog, where he claims he will make Jeff deal with their problems on Smackdown this week and says that the WWE isn’t big enough for the both of them.
The February 17th edition of the Chicago Tribune has a cool article up, profiling six local independent wrestlers. The writer said that he was inspired by The Wrestler, so he looked into the trademarks of the wrestlers, their real name, their day job and what promotions they work for. The wrestlers profiled are Larry Sweeney, December (PCW female wrestler, college student), El Gringo Loco (GALLI, restaurant delivery service), Marshe Rockett (teacher’s assistant, working in special education), Steve Boz (Coca-Cola accounts manager), and Austin Roberts (boiler salesman).
