Brock Lesnar’s WWE contract expired after WrestleMania and he’s currently a free agent, according to Dave Meltzer.
Lesnar and WWE have been under new contract negotiations to bring him back, but the two sides have hit an “impasse” and paused negotiations, according to PWInsider.
As a result, Lesnar is a free agent and is technically free to sign with any company, whether it be AEW or the UFC.
Lesnar’s WWE merchandise contract has also expired and all of his merchandise has been pulled from the WWE Shop website.
He’s still listed as an active wrestler on the Raw brand on WWE’s website.
Lesnar last appeared at WrestleMania 36, which aired in April, where he lost the WWE Championship to Drew McIntyre.
His manager Paul Heyman is now managing Roman Reigns as of last Friday.
According to WrestleVotes, the current belief is that WWE will eventually present Lesnar with an offer he can’t refuse when/if they need him, and Lesnar will let McMahon know when he’s “ready to work again.”
The reports of Brock Lesnar being a free agent are true. In talking with a source, the belief is that once Lesnar is ready to work again, he’ll let McMahon know. Or vice versa, if WWE needs Brock, they will present a deal he can’t refuse. Currently, it’s nothing more than that.
