TPWW Power 25 Rankings (Week of 2/14/09)

These rankings are based on a points system rather than on opinion. As the weeks go on and points accumulate, the list should become more “accurate”.

TPWW Power 25 is a kayfabe ranking system. The goal is to track wins, losses, and title changes for WWE and TNA. Wrestlers are ranked based on the points system listed below the chart. Rankings will be updated each week.

Happy Valentines Day The Miz. You beat the odds and knocked Cena down…wait, the Miz!?!?!?!?! I tallied it up right, what with Miz having a winning effort on 2 shows, plus winning a non-title match against Primo and Carlito…though still, something makes feel dirty with Poochy at #1. Here is the list:

Rank Wrestler Points Title
1 The Miz 11.5
2 James Storm 11
3 John Morrison 10.5
4 Awesome Kong 9
4 John Cena 9
4 Robert Roode 9
7 Sting 7
8 The Undertaker 6.5
9 Alex Shelley 6
9 CM Punk 6
9 Edge 6
9 Maryse 6
13 Beth Phoenix 5.5
13 MVP 5.5
15 Scott Steiner 5
16 Brother Ray 4
16 Melina 4
16 Shelton Benjamin 4
16 Christian 6

Points System

Points are only counted for televised matches.

  • +5 for WWE or World Heavyweight Title
  • +4 for ECW or TNA World Title
  • +3 for any other title (I don’t recognize the TNA Legends Title)
  • +1 for each week a title has been held (I started every champion off this week with 1)
  • +2 for winning a match
  • -2 for losing a match
  • +1 for being on the winning side of a tag match while not scoring the win personally
  • -1 for being on the losing side of a tag match while not losing the match personally
  • -1 for not winning a multiple competitor match while not losing the match personally
  • +1 for being in a PPV match
  • + Half the value of the title for winning a non title match against a champion
  • +3 for winning Money in the Bank, the Royal Rumble (or any battle royal), King of the Mountain, or any other similar specialty match (losing such a match does not result in negative points)
  • +2 for lasting the longest in the Royal Rumble
  • +2 for eliminating the most people in the Royal Rumble
  • +2 for starting at 1 or 2 in the Royal Rumble and making it to the final 4
