Mauro mentioned that Mia Yim was attacked backstage and her spot in the WarGames match later tonight is in jeopardy.

Pre-Show: Isaiah “Swerve” Scott vs. Angel Garza

Early in the match, Garza suplexed Scott into the corner and tore off his pants, getting a big pop. Later, Scott hit a death valley driver on Garza on the apron, then hit him with a double stomp off the apron to the floor. He hit him with the “House Call” kick to the head but only got a near fall.

Scott picked up Garza, but Garza shoved him into the corner, pinning the referee there. Garza tried to kick Swerve in the balls behind the ref’s back, but Scott blocked him. Scott tried a kick of his own to Garza’s chest, but Garza blocked it. Knee to the chest by Garza, then he hit Scott with a Wing Clipper for the win.

Winner: Angel Garza (7:35)

Backstage: Mia Yim, Rhea Ripley, Dakota Kai

They mentioned again that Mia Yim was attacked backstage by an unknown assailant.

Yim was shown being put into an ambulance. William Regal came in and told Rhea Ripley that she’s the captain and asked her what she’s going to do.

Ripley grabbed Dakota Kai, who was tending to Yim, and said “You’re in.” Kai said that she wasn’t prepared to wrestle tonight and Ripley gave her a pep talk about taking on Shayna Baszler, who has bullied her for so long.

WarGames Match
Rhea Ripley, Candice LeRae, Tegan Nox & Dakota Kai vs. Shayna Baszler, Io Shirai, Bianca Belair & Kay Lee Ray

They went over the WarGames rules: Two teams will be contained in separate cages with one member of each team starting the match. After 5 minutes, a member of Team Baszler will be released to enter the match. After a three minute period, alternating members from each team will enter the match. Once all competitors have entered, WarGames officially begins. Escape or leave the cage and you forfeit the match for your team. The only way to win is by pinfall or submission.

Dakota Kai is replacing Mia Yim, who was attacked backstage by an unknown assailant earlier tonight.

Starting first: Io Shirai and Candice LeRae. They immediately started punching at each other, but Shirai quickly took control and dominated the majority of the first five minutes.

Bianca Belair entered as the first five minutes ran out. Belair destroyed LeRae, hitting her with three powerbombs, with the third into the cage.

Rhea Ripley entered next. She tossed in three trash cans from under the ring, some kendo sticks, and some chairs. The crowd chanted “we want tables,” but Ripley didn’t bring one, and the crowd booed. Ripley took out Shirai and Belair.

Kay Lee Ray entered next. She also tossed in some chairs, then grabbed a table and the crowd cheered… but she then slid it back under the ring for a lot of heel heat. Some chairs were set up in the ring, and everyone in the match did a cool tower of doom spot, with Rhea Ripley powerbombing everyone but Bianca Belair off of the turnbuckle onto the chairs in the ring. Belair then hit a sweet 450 off the top onto Ripley.

Dakota Kai was next. She stepped out of the cage at the entrance ramp, then walked back and attacked her partner Tegan Nox! Dakota Kai has turned heel… Nice. The crowd chanted “holy shit.” Kai repeatedly slammed the cage on her former friend Tegan Nox’s surgically repaired knee. William Regal and officials came out to pull Kai off of Nox and she went to the back… then ran back out and attacked Tegan Nox again! Officials finally pulled her off and sent her to the back as she screamed maniacally.

Shayna Baszler was next. Baszler laughed as she looked at Tegan Nox beaten down in the cage, then confidently strolled into the ring. They said that this match has officially started and is 4 on 2.

Belair did a military press on LeRae, then tossed her from one ring to the other onto Rhea Ripley. Moonsault by Shirai on LeRae, but Ripley broke it up. Belair whipped Ripley repeatedly with her hair, and LeRae nailed Belair with a kendo stick repeatedly. Shirai hit Ripley with a big backbreaker, then started climbing the cage, possibly for a moonsault… but LeRae got up and chased her up the cage. Kay Lee Ray chased them up but LeRae hit her with a crazy poisonrana off the top rope!

Belair and LeRae started fighting in the ring and Io Shirai climbed to the very top of the cage to the middle of one side… and hit a moonsault onto both of them. Holy shit…

Kirafuda Clutch by Baszler on Ripley… but she broke free, and somehow handcuffed her own hand to Baszler’s hand. Ripley picked up Baszler and hit her with the Rip Tide onto two chairs that were sat up… 1-2-3.

Excellent match. Just really great.

Winners: Rhea Ripley, Candice LeRae, Tegan Nox & Dakota Kai (27:24)

Pete Dunne vs. Killian Dain vs. Damian Priest

The winner of this match will face Adam Cole for the NXT Championship tomorrow at Survivor Series.

Imperium were shown sitting at ringside in the crowd.

It was a very even match for the first few minutes and the crowd was very hot and into it.

A few minutes in, on the outside, Priest hit Dunne with a Razor’s Edge onto the announce table. Dain then hit a suicide dive onto Priest. Priest and Dain fought in the ring until Priest hit Dain with a big Razor’s Edge, then went for the pin, but Dunne broke it up. Later, Priest dived over the top rope onto Dain, and Dunne followed it up with a top rope moonsault to the outside on both men.

Back in the ring, Priest went for the Reckoning on Dunne, but he reversed, then Dunne tried a Pumphandle Slam, but Priest broke free.

Dain hit Priest with a Vader Bomb, but Dunne broke it up. Dunne hit the Bitter End on Dain, but Priest broke it up with a kick to Dunne’s head. Cyclone kick by Priest on Dain, then on Dunne, then he hit Dunne with the Reckoning, but Dain fell on top of him to break up the pin.

Dunne “snapped” Priest’s finger, then hit a superplex on Dain. Bitter End by Dunne on Priest, but Dain broke it up with a senton. Feels like this match is going on a bit too long now…

Dunne locked on a sleeper hold on Dain, climbing on his back… Dain then hit a senton onto Priest, with Dunne on his back. Dunne then pinned Priest… 1-2-3. This match was decent but went on for too long and the crowd started to get quiet in the last five minutes after a hot start.

Winner: Pete Dunne (19:56)

Pete Dunne will face Adam Cole for the NXT Championship tomorrow at SummerSlam.

Matt Riddle vs. Finn Balor

This match was very slow for the first ten minutes or so, with lots of grappling.

Balor hit a sling blade, but Riddle followed up with a spear… then a Jackhammer! But Balor kicked out.

Riddle went for Bro Derek, but Balor reversed. Balor tried to pick up Riddle, but Riddle reversed and hit him with Bro to Sleep! He went to the top and jumped off with a Flying Bro, but Balor got his knees up, then hit Riddle with a dropkick into the corner.

Balor went for the Coup de Grace, but Riddle moved and locked on the Bromission! But Balor was able to escape.

Riddle tried to pick up Balor, but Balor fought free and hit Riddle with a brainbuster-like “1916 DDT,” similar to Moxley’s Paradigm Shift. 1-2-3.

Slow start but a hot last five minutes.

Winner: Finn Balor (14:21)

WarGames Match
Tommaso Ciampa, Keith Lee, Dominik Dijakovic & Kevin Owens vs. The Undisputed Era (Adam Cole, Bobby Fish, Kyle O’Reilly & Roderick Strong)

They went over the WarGames rules again: Two teams will be contained in separate cages with one member of each team starting the match. After 5 minutes, a member of the Undisputed Era will be released to enter the match. After a three minute period, alternating members from each team will enter the match. Once all competitors have entered, WarGames officially begins. Escape or leave the cage and you forfeit the match for your team. The only way to win is by pinfall or submission.

Commentary mentioned that Ciampa said that they asked someone to be the fourth member of their team and that person is here, but they don’t know if he will show up. The match started and the fourth member did not come out yet…

Ciampa started with Roderick Strong. They were pretty evenly matched for the first five minutes.

Kyle O’Reilly entered next. O’Reilly and Strong beat down on Ciampa for the entire three minutes.

Dominik Dijakovic was next. Dijakovic dominated both O’Reilly and Strong.

Bobby Fish was next. Undisputed Era easily regained control with the 3 on 2 advantage.

Keith Lee was next to even things up. Lee cleaned house to a huge pop. Love Keith Lee… The crowd chanted “Ohh, bask in his glory” to the tune of Seven Nation Army.

Adam Cole was next. He pulled out a table, to a big pop. And another table, which he set up at a 45 degree angle on the outside on the crowd barricade. A third table went into the ring, and a fourth and fifth… and sixth. Finally, Cole went to enter the ring, but Ciampa shoved him off the apron through the table that he set up on the outside. Cole eventually got into the ring and everyone fought. The clock started to count down from 10…

Kevin Owens came out! He’s the fourth member of Team Ciampa. Huge pop as Owens’ theme hit. Owens took out three members of Undisputed Era, then faced off with Adam Cole, and the match has officially started. Stunner by Owens on Cole, but Strong broke up the pin.

Keith Lee hit a top rope crossbody on three members of Undisputed Era. Top rope swanton by Owens on Fish. Lee went to the top, but Strong chased him up and hit him with a Samoan Drop off the top. Cole hit Owens with a Panama Sunrise (Canadian Destroyer) onto the metal portion connecting the two rings!

Strong was powerbombed through a table by Dijakovic. Owens then hit a frog splash on O’Reilly through a table. And Keith Lee powerbombed Fish off the middle rope through a table.

Adam Cole climbed to the top of the cage, and Ciampa followed him up. They fought on top of the cage… Oh no… Ciampa picked up Cole behind his back, then jumped backwards off the top of the cage with an Air Raid Crash through a table below. Vicious move… 1-2-3…

A concerned Britt Baker, who is in a relationship with Adam Cole, was shown in the crowd at ringside and Mauro mentioned her by name.

Winners: Tommaso Ciampa, Keith Lee, Dominik Dijakovic & Kevin Owens (38:26)
