Here are the current health status and injury updates for several of WWE’s roster based on a recent internal injury list.
- Elias’ injury was listed as undisclosed but WWE officials currently feel that he “broke something”, Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp reported. It was previously reported that he had an ankle injury.
- EC3 reportedly has suffered a recent injury and underwent medical evaluations on Monday. Sapp reported that EC3’s injury was stated to not be serious based on his sources within the company.
- Heath Slater also reportedly suffered a recent injury and similar to EC3, it was stated to not be serious.
- Bobby Lashley is currently expected to be medically cleared for an in-ring by October 14th based on WWE’s recent report. Details regarding the exact nature of Lashley’s injury were not revealed.
- Jinder Mahal is now currently expected to be medically cleared for an in-ring return by November 1st. Previous injury reports had Mahal listed as being out for the rest of the year after his knee surgery.
- Drew McIntyre was listed to be have been medically cleared on September 16th from his recent surgery for an unknown issue.
- Samoa Joe and Carmella were both listed under “new injury return dates” but neither had an actual injury nor return date listed in the report.
In regards to Tommaso Ciampa’s injury status, Sapp initially reported that WWE’s internal injury report had him listed as being medically cleared on September 11th. Ciampa denied Fightful’s report on Twitter and stated that he has yet to be medically cleared as of September 16th.

Sapp later reported that Fightful reached out to Ciampa and when given the information Fightful had from WWE’s report, Ciampa stated the issue was likely due to miscommunication that often happens within WWE. Ciampa also stated that he believes Fightful’s report was not done with malice.
