Two PPVs have also been removed from the 2018 schedule, cutting it back down to 12 PPVs this year. Payback (a SmackDown PPV originally scheduled for May 27) and Battleground (a Raw PPV originally scheduled for July 15) have been removed and Extreme Rules has moved from September 16 to July 15.
It has also been rumored that WWE could extend PPVs to four hours (plus another one hour Kickoff Show) to make more time for all the championship matches and wrestlers on the roster.
