Mauro Ranallo has been posting a lot on Twitter the past couple of days, thanking everyone for their outpouring of support.
Someone on Twitter posted a video of JBL getting knocked out by Bart Gunn during the WWE Brawl for All contest in 1998, with the caption, “This one’s for you @mauroranallo”

Mauro responded:
Loved it when it first happened. Love it even more now.👊 https://t.co/IcfLAisFhh

In another interesting development, Matt Jackson of the Young Bucks tweeted at Mauro: “You’re the man.” He was then inexplicably blocked on Twitter by JBL.

@beckiee19 @mauroranallo Literally nothing. So strange.

Lastly, it now seems all but guaranteed that Mauro Ranallo will not be back in WWE, unfortunately. As previously mentioned, his contract expires on August 12, 2017 and he has removed all references to WWE from his social media accounts.
He then posted this, thanking only his “Showtime Boxing family” (and not his “WWE family,” obviously).
Big shoutout to the myriad pro wrestlers who have contacted me with their support. Also,HUGE THANKS to my @ShowtimeBoxing fam! 👊
