The event is the Second Annual Headlock on Hunger Food Drive to benefit the Ingles / Eblen Food for Thought Program. It’s sponsored by Ingles Markets, iHeart Media, the Asheville Citizen-Times, and Eblen Charities and is meant to “help ensure that no student in our community faces the school day with hunger.” The event runs from 4:30 AM to 7 PM. Ross and Garvin will be on hand to collect food and donations for Headlock on Hunger at the Ingles on Tunnel Road. Ross will appear from 10 AM to 1 PM and 4 to 6 PM. Garvin will appear from 10 AM to 2 PM.
Eblen Charities executive director Bill Murdock said: “We are excited and most grateful to Ingles, their vendors once again, as well as Jim, and Jimmy join us for Headlock on Hunger, not only lending their name but their time and effort to touch so many children and continue our fight against children’s hunger in our community.”
Ross added: “I am honored to be a part of the Headlock on Hunger team and serve as the national chairman, as there is nothing more important or rewarding than to help feed a child in need. Hunger will be pinned.”

— The revived Urban Wrestling Federation will be using previously-filed content to produce monthly PPVs. The site reports that the revived PPVs are “something of a retelling” of the promotion’s original angles with re-edited matches and previously-unaired pre- and post-match vignettes and footage that were filmed back during the original PPVs in order to enhance the characterizations and storylines.
The next PPV will be “Hood Killa” and will debut in July on PPV and satellite, with a main event of Ricky Reyes vs. Slyck Wagner Brown. The first PPV, “Bloody Bullet,” is already available on other providers and will debut on DirecTV along with “Hood Killa” next month. There has been discussion of filming new, original content but at this point that isn’t confirmed.
