Brock Lesnar, Paul Heyman & Big Show Kick Off RAW
This week’s edition of WWE RAW kicks off in Boston with a video package look at the history between Seth Rollins and Kane. After the lengthy video package, Michael Cole welcomes us inside the TD Garden in Boston, the site of tonight’s show.
From there, Brock Lesnar’s music hits and out comes The Beast Incarnate accompanied by Paul Heyman. The music dies down and the “Suplex City” chants immediately echo throughout the TD Garden as the big fella wears an ear-to-ear grin and soaks up the noise.
Heyman starts off by introducing himself as the advocate for the giant slayer and the conquerer of the streak. We see some still images of Lesnar manhandling Big Show at MSG this past weekend. He goes on to talk about “the lair of the beast” — which is what he calls Hell In A Cell.
Heyman says Undertaker calls Hell In A Cell “his match.” “My ass,” says Heyman. He says Undertaker also thought WrestleMania was his show — until he stepped into the ring with Brock Lesnar. With that said a video package is shown of Lesnar beating Taker and ending his streak at WrestleMania.
After the video package, Heyman goes back into storytelling mode and talks about the soul searching Taker had to do after that night. He says he realized that he’s not “dead man enough to get revenge on Brock Lesnar.” With that said, we see highlights of the controversial finish to their WrestleMania rematch at SummerSlam.
Heyman says his client never had to use a low blow against The Undertaker. He plugs Lesnar’s appearance on the Stone Cold Podcast later this month, as well as “the very last time ever Brock Lesnar will ever fight The Undertaker.” He says one man will emerge the victor, the other will not walk out of the Hell In A Cell — at all. He says that’s not a prediction, that is a spoiler!
As Heyman wraps up with his “glory, glory” song remix, Big Show’s music hits. Lesnar grins as he watches the giant make his way into the ring.
Big Show talks about Suplex City and his fight with Lesnar at Madison Square Garden on Saturday’s WWE Network special. He talks about how close he was to wiping Lesnar’s grin (which he is still wearing) off of his face. Big Show says because he’s the bigger man, he’s going to call it like it is — he says Lesnar is the beast. A man among boys. He extends his hand to Lesnar, but Lesnar grins and walks away.
Show calls Lesnar arrogant and says he hopes he loses to Undertaker — again. Lesnar stops in his tracks and re-enters the ring. He belly-to-belly suplexes Big Show. Lesnar blasts Show with an F-5 and puts his grin back on his face. His music plays as he finally exits the ring and heads to the back with Paul Heyman.
