The former promoter of World Wrestling All-Stars has been arrested in Australia as part of a drug syndicate sting operation. The Sydney Morning Herald reports that Andrew McManus was arrested at Melbourne Airport and charged with perverting the course of justice, attempting to defraud by false and misleading statements and knowingling participating in a criminal group to assist crime.
McManus is a prominent music promoter in Australia and founded WWA in 2001. He used several WCW stars that didn’t go to WWE such as Sting, Jeff Jarrett and Lex Luger, running tours in Europe and Australia.
