Report: WWE Cancels A Pre-RAW Meet & Greet In The UK

Just wanted to let you know of a ‘good/bad’ news story.

I attended Monday Night Raw at the O2 Arena in London on Monday, having paid £405 (approx $600) in November last year for a VIP Meet and Greet Ticket.

We we told to meet the guide at the entrance at 4.30pm, where we would be escorted for our meet and greet. All 150 or so people who had our tickets were guided round to the side of Gate F and left whilst they sorted the room out and got the stars ready.

There was nowhere to go whilst we waited, we literally sat on the concrete unsupervised until 6.30pm, when finally a rep from WWE came out and told us there would be no meet and greet, they walked us round to the reception and stood us next to Paige and Dean Ambrose for a picture (who were very apologetic I might add, pictures attached). The WWE Staff were rude and unhelpful throughout. We were not offered any water or food, some people who were disabled or had young children were just left in the line like everyone else and couldn’t go anywhere. Many of the children at some point cried, and when told they would not be going to a proper meet and greet, cried again. The WWE representatives simply told us to contact our ticket provider and request a refund. Some people in the line filmed what the staff were saying about how badly organised it was.

I took up my seat for the show and enjoyed it immensely as I knew I would, but there was still a tarnish on the night from that shocking experience earlier of awful customer service. I had been looking forward for almost 6 months to meeting and chatting to some of my favorite WWE Wrestlers and was shocked by the way I was treated, not just as a person but as a ‘VIP’ that I saved and paid so much of my money to experience.

I have since requested a refund and have been offered approximately 80% of my money back, but I am not sure how I feel about the experience. I go to a lot of independent wrestling promotions in the UK (FPW, T2W, LDN, e.t.c) who look after their fans a lot better.

I am really disappointed by my first VIP WWE experience. I would hope that if I ever booked it again in the future they would do a better job.
