Now that Brock Lesnar has re-signed with WWE, the company has the option to try and book the rumored match between he and The Rock for next year’s WrestleMania 32 pay-per-view in Dallas, Texas.
The Rock did an interview earlier this week where he was asked about the possibility of wrestling Lesnar in Dallas, and seemed open to the idea. For those unaware, at one point, The Rock vs. Lesnar was actually the working plan for the WrestleMania XXX main event last year. Also, The Rock is currently rumored to appear at WrestleMania 31 this Sunday. We’ll have more on that shortly.
According to sources, WWE has had Lesnar and Paul Heyman bring up The Rock, The Undertaker and John Cena in recent weeks as a way of planting the seeds for a potential match against one of the three at next year’s WrestleMania, with WWE looking at The Rock as their top choice if all things work out perfectly for them.
In the case of The Undertaker vs. Lesnar, Undertaker would have to defeat Bray Wyatt at this Sunday’s WrestleMania pay-per-view in Santa Clara, California, although that is reportedly the plan either way.
