You may remember a story from last month about indy New Jersey promoter Mike “Morgan” Virulet’s sons being critically injured in an automobile accident. Tragic news today, as Virulet’s oldest son Michael los his battle passed away last night due to complications from his injuries.
As reported, twenty year-old Michael and his eleven year-old brother Adrian were struck by a car that ran off the road and hit them on the sidewalk. The car then drove away from the scene and Michael and Adrian were left in dangerous conditions. Michael had lost his leg and had to undergo brain surgery, while Adrian was impaled by an iron fence in the collision.
Rogelio Chavix-Tacen, 38, has been arrested in connection with the incident. He was named as a suspect a few weeks back and had been trying to leave the country. Charges are expected to be announced later today.

December 4th 2014 @ 7:45 pm Michael Joseph Viruet aka Mike Morgan Jr passed away. He fought 19 days straight with an Army of supporters behind him. Mikey decided that after having Adrian by his side and the rest of the family and friends there, that it was his time to go.
He made the ultimate sacrifice anyone can ever make and that was to protect the younger siblings and take most of the impact from the car. Michael Joseph Viruet is not only my hero, but everyones. We will live our lives honoring his by staying positive, giving advice and continuing to teach with life lessons.
From the bottom of my heart as well as the rest of the families hearts, we are truly honored to have such support during these times. We ask that you honor his life in whichever way you would think Mikey would want you to. Sing, laugh, dance, act, film, VLOG or draw; however it is, we hope it is in his honor.
Thank you all once again and the next thing to look forward to is justice.
