» TNAWrestlingNews.com is reporting that Nick Hogan’s latest project is to become a superstar disc jockey. He is booked for a gig with Frank Vazquez in Long Island on March 27. Vazquez (DJ FX) is one of the most recognized DJs in New York and New Jersey, and is well respected throughout the nightclub scene.
» VH-1 didn’t renew Brooke Hogan for another season of her reality show, Brooke Knows Best, which was a spin off from Hulk Knows Best. TV producers pitched a new dating show concept to her but it wasn’t something she wanted to do. Hulk Hogan said in interviews this week that he recently sent her music to P-Diddy in the hope that his record label would sign her.
» The overall atmosphere at the last set of TNA television tapings in Orlando was described as being much more different. Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff seemed more comfortable and much more humble. The feeling is that it may have something to do with TNA President Dixie Carter with one source adding, “She’s pretty insistent on keeping a positive workplace and it was getting ugly there for a while.”
» In regards to some talks that TNA was looking at a name change when Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff were brought in (a discussion that has been on and off the last few years), According to a source, when Frank Dickerson was first brought into the company he also wanted a name change. Eventually a decision was made all the way back in 2005 when they debuted on Spike to keep the name since, in their eyes, it was already established in wrestling. Vince Russo originally came up with the name when the company wanted to be as risqué as possible. Dixie Carter is said to be very loyal to the TNA brand name.
