According to sources, there is a lot of unrest going on in the TNA locker room at the moment. As previously reported, the promotion is basically done with events for the year; they have Bound for Glory, which doesn’t have a lot of the undercard booked, and then nothing until the next taping in January.
While everyone is allowed to take independent bookings right now, they are not allowed to appear on any PPV, iPPV or DVDs for other promotions, which takes away from higher-paying shows like Ring of Honor’s iPPVs. ROH also has their roster spots filled at the moment and there isn’t a lot of interest from the promotion toward most of the TNA roster. Only Eddie Edwards and Samoa Joe are guaranteed ROH dates if they want any.
Most of the talent has made overtures to Jeff Jarrett’s GFW, but that promotion’s only show thus far is the New Japan’s Tokyo Dome PPV which is out of the question. Lucha Underground is TV only and wants exclusivity contacts while PWG only does DVD-taped shows. That leaves promotions like PWS and FWE and local events until TNA announces their new shows next year and decides who is staying with the promotion.
