Triple H Comments on “Netflix Has ‘No Input’ On Creative Direction Of WWE Shows”

The BBC held a recent interview with WWE CCO Paul “Triple H” Levesque. One of the topics discussed included Levesque’s thoughts about if Netflix has any input on the creative direction for WWE RAW shows.

“No input. We create the superstars, we create the storylines. We do all of that and the world watches.”

Levesque also stated that that only thing Netflix decides is how long their WWE RAW show is and other broadcast related things for the show.

“How long the show is, when we go off air, or what time we’re on air. As far as the content of the shows… someone doesn’t tell the NFL how football’s played. They distribute our product.”

Flair stated “I think there is a misconception that people are like “oh, Charlotte Flair is good” or that I was trying to be good. I keep going and not that she’s trying to be good or she’s trying to be bad – no. Charlotte Flair is above being good and bad. She is just Charlotte Flair. She’s the end all be all of women’s wrestling. I am the end-all be-all of women’s wrestling. Now that I have learned from every opportunity I have learned from every opponent. I’ve learned from every scenario to me you’re either wooing or booing. Get on board, learn to love it. I am who I am. It’s different town to town, event to event. Like I wrestled in Nottingham against Piper and they were woos. She got the boos. But the night before I got the boos. I love that I can take people on that roller coaster. Either way, yeah, if we don’t hear anything then we worry!

I’m going to have the Divas actually on the show, so it’s not just going to be me talking. I’m going to get interviews with most of the Divas, if not all of the Divas, and just to show you that the Diva era was something, it was significant, and to go back down memory lane and also to see where your Divas are now, what they’re up to, what they’re doing, what they feel about The New Generation. It’s going to be just a great, great podcast if you guys are Diva fans. If you do want to learn some more stuff about the Diva Search girls as well and how the women were treated back then in that time, in that era, and then you guys can make a decision like, you know, was the divas that bad? I don’t know. It’s going to be called Lay Talk. So that will be out soon.” (Transcript h/t: Fightful.com)
