Drew McIntyre Announces He’s Medically Cleared on Friday’s WWE SmackDown Show

Friday’s WWE SmackDown show also featured Drew McIntyre announcing that he has been medically cleared from his eye injury.

During the show, Damian Priest came out for his face-to-face segment with McIntyre. As Priest was walking down the ramp, McIntyre who was seen sporting an eye patch attacked Priest from behind. This led to WWE officials rushing out to break it up and helped Priest to the back after the continued attack by McIntyre.

McIntyre got into the ring and proceeded to insult and ridicule Priest and talked about Priest only agreed to see him face to face because he has one eye. McIntyre stated that he agreed to a Sin City Street Fight at WrestleMania because he has one eye and he is a man. After some more words, McIntyre stated that he has a little secret, which was him taking off his eye patch and stating that he is 100% cleared and at WrestleMania Priest is 100% screwed. This led to Priest coming out as WWE officials tried to stop him only for a brawl to break out between Priest and McIntyre. This brawl ended with McIntyre striking Priest with the steel steps and hit a Future Shock afterwards laying out Priest.

Roxanne Perez Makes Surprise Appearance on Friday’s WWE SmackDown Show

Friday’s WWE SmackDown show also featured NXT talent Roxanne Perez making a surprise appearance.

During the show, backstage interviewer Bryon Saxton was seen outside of SmackDown GM Nick Aldis’ office. This led to Perez showing up and after being asked why she was here, Perez responded stating that if NXT GM Ava doesn’t want to speak to her then she decided to speak with Aldis. Perez stated that as the runner up at the Royal Rumble, she is ready to fight for the WWE Women’s title at WrestleMania because Tiffany Stratton can’t handle the pressure. This led to Stratton showing up and after some insults banter, Aldis came out of his office and agreed to Stratton’s match request with Perez on the show.

New Mystery Video Airs on Friday’s WWE SmackDown Show

Friday’s WWE SmackDown show also featured a new mystery vignette airing teasing the arrival of a new mystery person to the SmackDown brand.

This new mystery vignette is currently speculated to be for the return of Aleister Black to WWE. Black was previously known as Malakai Black during his time in AEW.

Friday’s WWE SmackDown show also featured three new matches for the card of next week’s show on April 18th at the T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, Nevada.

These matches were setup following promos, storyline angles, and match card graphics throughout the show.
