Backstage: Ricky Saints, The Culling

Ricky Saints and The Culling were seen walking in the NXT parking lot ahead of tonight’s NXT North American Championship between Saints and Shawn Spears.

In-Ring: Stephanie Vaquer, Ava, Jordynne Grace, Jaida Parker

Ava joins Stephanie in the ring.  

Ava says since Stephanie set foot in NXT, she has shown why she is La Primera.  After walking out victorious last week as double champion, it shows what kind of superstar she is.  Both titles deserve to be defended frequently.  It is not fair for her to do it alone.  They have come to the decision that she will relinquish the North American Title.  A new champion will be decided at Stand and Deliver in a six woman ladder match.  The qualifiers start tonight.

Stephanie says she understands that this is not a popular decision, but . . . NXT has given her opportunities and she wants to do the same for everyone else.  She wants to push the division.  Tonight, she will give up the North American title, under one condition.  She says she gets to pick who she faces at Stand and Deliver for the NXT Women’s Championship.

Jordynne Grace’s music plays and she comes out to the ring.  

She apologizes for interrupting and she is happy that Stephanie gets to pick her opponent.  Now that Jaida is out of the picture, we can focus on the match that everyone wants.  On NXT’s biggest stage, the Juggernaut versus La Primera.

Jaida Parker makes her way to the ring.

She says being out of the picture is insane since she is out here.  If you were still on the ground where she left your ass last week, I would have beaten Stephanie and the title belt would be around her waist.  She came this close and she tells Stephanie to call her shot.

Jordynne says that Jaida had her shot and she fumbled.  You may not understand how championships work since you never held one so you go to the back of the line.

Stephanie says they need to work this out.  

Jaida and Grace with punches.  Grace sends Parker to the apron and she kicks Parker off the apron.  Grace tosses a member of security over the top rope to the floor.

We go to Trick Williams and he says that he has challenged Oba and they can talk about his title in the ring.

Parking Lot: Oba Femi

Oba is ambushed by Sarah in the parking lot.  

Oba says he does not answer to Trick, but Trick answers to him.  He says that Trick will find out what happens when you call him out.

Backstage: Arianna Grace, Cora Jade, Fallon Henley, Women’s Locker Room

We are in LOCKER ROOM and Arianna says ladders are dangerous.  Fallon says she will get the title back.  Lola says she is next.  Cora yells at Lola and then the rest join in.

Zaria vs. Lash Legend

They lock up and they go around the ring to a stalemate.  They lock pu and Lash with a waist lock take down.  Lash has some words for Zaria and she wants a test of strength.  Zaria obliges and Zaria gets Lash down but Lash bridges and gets uup top and gets Zaria to the mat.  Zaria bridges back to a neutral place but Lash with a back drop for a near fall.  Zaria goes for a sunset flip but Lash windmills to stay on her feeet and she picks up Zaria.  Zaria with a chop.  Lash slaps Zaria and Zaria slaps back.  Zaria with a guillotine.  Lash gets Zaria up and she puts Zaria on the apron but she misses a punch.  Zaria with a shoulder and a sunset flip for a near fall.

Lash escapes a slam attempt and Lash with a slam but she misses an elbow drop and so does Zaria.  Lash grabs Zaria by the throat and Zaria returns the favor.  Lash with knees and Zaria counters a choke slam into a victory roll for a near fall.  Lash with a bicycle kick that sends Zaria to the floor.  Lash sends Zaria back into the ring and she gets a near fall.  Lash with an Irish whip and a hard Irish whip.  Lash pie faces Zaria and Zaria returns the favor.  Lash with forearms to Zaria in the ropes.  Lash with a series of short shoulder tackles and she gets a near fall.  Lash with a rear chin lock and her knee in Zaria’s back.  

Lash with a clothesline and she sends Zaria face first into the mat.  Lash with a forearm to the lower back.  Lash with a second forearm to the lower back.  Lash goes for a third one but Zaria with a back elbow and a rollup for a near fall.  Lash with a bear hug. Zaria with elbows and a head butt to get out of the hold.  Lash with a forearm.  Lash gets Zaria on her shoulders for a torture rack.  Zaria lands on her feet and both with cross body blocks and both go down.   Zaria with a punch and Lash punches back.  They go back and forth.  Lash sends Zaria to the mat.  Lash sets for a suplex and Zaria blocks it.  Zaria goes for a suplex and Lash blocks it.  Zaria eventually gets Lash over.  Zaria wtih a splash into the corner.  Lash with an Irish whip and she runs into a boot in the corner.  Zaria gos to the turnbuckles and Lash catches her and Lash with a uranage back breaker.

Lash goes for the power bomb but Zaria counters with a rana.  Zaria with a bicycle kick and a German suplex.  Lash leap frogs Zaria and Zaria hits the ropes.  Lash with a choke slam for a near fall.  Lash sets for Lash Extension but Zaria counters and gets Lash on her shoulders.  Zaria avoids a bicycle kick and Zaria with a spear.  Zaria with an F5 for the three count.

Winner: Zaria via Pinfall.

Backstage: Josh Briggs, Yoshiki Inamura, Wes Lee, Tyson Dupoint, Tyriek Igwe

We go to Briggs and Inamura in LOCKER ROOM.  Inamura says Stand and Deliver is his big dream.  Briggs says they will get there.

Wes Lee, Tyson Dupont, and Tyriek Igwe enter and Wes suggests talking to someone who has won at Stand and Deliver.

Inamura challenges Wes Lee to a match and Wes accepts.  He tells Inamura to be disappointed.

Backstage: Kelani Jordan, Ava, Roxanne Perez

We are back and Kelani Jordan is with Ava.  She says history will repeat itself.  

Roxanne Perez enters and says it is perfect.  She says she will become the first woman to hold all NXT titles.

Kelani says she will not be a stepping stone for Roxanne.  She is getting hers and if it is beating Roxanne, the better.

Roxanne appreciates Kelani showing a backbone.

Ava says one of them will be in the ladder match because they are meeting in a Qualifier tonight.

We go to The Family and their meeting about Dark State.

Tony calls over all of the troops and he wants to know what they have.

Luca talks about Dion Lennox and how he fooled everyone acting like a bookworm.  He says he was a hothead with a temper.  He has multiple decrees.  Next is Osiris Griffin.  He mentions that he used to play for Syracuse.  He is not a dumb meathead.  He can anticipate his opponent’s next move.  Next is Cutler James.  Tony says he knew he didn’t like him after Rizzo tells him he went to Duke.  Tony says he sounds like a wannabe John Wick.  The final member is Saquon Suggers.  He is the wild card.  They mention he turned down an offer from Harvard.  Channing says he is a smooth talker and then when he is done with them, he moves on.  

Tony says we have four legitimate bad asses.  

Channing says they have to fight fire with fire.

Tony tries to calm Channing down.  He says he knows they want to get back at them but the last time they had a plan, it didn’t work.  Tony asks Channing if he can trust him.  

Channing says he can trust Tony.  

Tony tells everyone to be ready.

Backstage: Hank & Tank, Pretty Deadly, No Quarter Catch Crew

Tank Ledger and Hank Walker are in the back dressed like Pretty Deadly and they ask if this will work.

Elton and Kit say that they love it.  To be stars, you need to look like a star.  Kit says stars shine.   Elton asks for a YES BOY.  Elton tells them to be the team.

No Quarter Catch Crew show up and Tavion says they will get their asses kicked in a few minutes.

Hank and Tank reject the tiny shirts and walk away.

Video: The Culling

A video aired featuring Shawn Spears and The Culling talking about Spears’ leadership of the group and his upcoming NXT North American Championship match against Ricky Saints.

No Quarter Catch Crew (Myles Borne & Tavion Heights) vs. Hank & Tank (Hank Walker & Tank Ledger)

Myles and Tank start things off.  They lock up and Myles with a side head lock.  Myles with a shoulder tackle but Tank stays on his feet.  Myles with a wrist lock and Tavion tags in.  Myles with a drop toe hold and Tavion with a side head lock before Tank hits the mat.  Tank tries to escape but Tavion with a punch and Irish whip but Tank with a cross body.  Tank sends Tavion into the turnbuckles and Hank tags in.  They kick Tavion and connect with double sledges and stomp on the fingers.  Hank with a shoulder tackle to Myles and a splash and leg drop combination as they channel Pretty Deadly.  Hank with a clothesline into the corner followed by a hip.  Tank tags in and they hit the Malachi Crunch for a near fall.

Hank tasg in and he goes to the turnbuckles and connects with a double sledge to the arm.  Myles tags in and Tavion misses a clothesline.  Hank sends Tavion to the floor and Myles clotheslines Hank over the top roep tot he floor.  Tank distracts the referee to allow Tavion to get in a few shots.  Myles with European uppercut.s  Tavion tags in and connects with a clothesline.  Tavion with a clothesline against the ropes.  Tavion with a clothesline for a near fall.  Tavion with a reverse chin lock.  Hank with punches but Tavion with a rollup for a near fall.  Tank tags in and he connects with punches and clotheslines to Tavion.  He knocks Myles off the apron.  Tank with a back drop and he clotheslines Myles back into the ring.  Tank with a slingshot splash.  Tank goes to the turnbuckles for a springboard shoulder tackle. 

Tank with a spinebuster for a near fall.  Hank with Gallows uppercuts to Myles to send him to the floor.  Myles drop kicks Hank to the floor.  Tavion gets Tank up and Myles tags in and they hit an elevated DDT for the three count.

Winner: No Quarter Catch Crew via Pinfall.

Backstage: Trick Williams

Trick Williams walks in HALLWAY.

In-Ring: Trick Williams, Je’Von Evans, Oba Femi, Ava

Trick Williams makes his way to the ring.

Trick says last week, he called Oba out to meet him in the ring and he hasn’t heard from him since.  Even if you are the champion, he is still the man in NXT.  He has been the man since he decided to be his own man.  He fought for this.  He sacrificed for this.  He lost a brother for this.  He did all this for the Whoop That Era and made this the Trick Williams show.  All of this success comes at a cost.  He feels the hate in the back.  They don’t want him to shine or get back to the top.  Trick says he gets it.

Je’Von Evans comes out and Trick tells him not to come out.

Trick says last week was collateral damage.  It is time for the grown folks to talk.  

Evans says he finally realized that he understands Trick now.  Evans asks Trick when did he know it was his time?  Evans says this time last year, you were him.  When Trick won the title, he became NXT’s golden child.  Just like you, he wants that number one spot.  The difference is that he doesn’t need to break out of someone’s shadow to get to that number one spot.  He says he is ready now.

Trick says Je’Von is in his shadow now.  You cannot related.  Winning the title is great, but it is carrying and defending the title that is different.  He says he is one of one.

Evans asks Trick if he heard what Trick said.  You are one of one?  You are the A Champion?  You don’t know who you are.  You aren’t Trick Williams.  You are Carmelo Hayes.  Evans says it makes sense.  Everything you are telling him now is what Melo said to you last year.  You are a hypocrite.  You can talk down to him to feel better, but he has done what Trick hasn’t been able to do, and that is drop Oba Femi.

Oba Femi’s music plays and he asks Evans if he did something.  He says it was a lucky shot.  

Evans tells Oba he has his number.  Did you forget about Deadline?  Evans says he needed one more second to change history.  You would not have beaten Trick because he would have had it.  Evans says he will drop Oba’s ass again to become champion in Las Vegas.

Oba tells Trick the champion is here and it is his time to speak.  He sees a small boy with big dreams.  You might be the future but you will not face him at Stand and Deliver.  The now belongs to him.

Trick says the title match will be between him and Oba.  He tells Evans to excuse himself.

Oba holds Evans back and Oba tells Trick if you spent less time talking, you might be champion now.

Ava’s music plays and she comes out and says she has seen this before.  There is only one way to settle this.  Oba Femi will defend the title against Trick Williams . . . and Je’Von Evans in a Triple Threat Match.

Trick punches Evans an then he punches Oba but Oba punches back.

The lights go out and Dark State show up in the crowd.

They make their way into the ring and they go after Oba.  They also go after Evans.  They hit a catapult double back body drop on Evans and Oba is sent to the floor.

Trick gets in the ring and he stands between them.

Trick goes after Cutler and they all attack Trick.  They hit the toss double power bomb on Trick.

Backstage: Andre Chase, Uriah Connors, Kale Dixon, Jordynne Grace, Jaida Parker

We are back and Andre Chase is in the training room and he is told he has a cracked rib.  He is told there is no time table.  

Chase is asked if he has a ride home and Chase says he is all alone.

Uriah Connors and Kale Dixon tell Chase they are here for him.

We see Jaida and Jordynne fighting in HALLWAY and Jaida sends Grace into a truck gate.

Backstage: Fraxiom, Hank & Tank, Swipe Right, Roxanne Perez

Frazer tells Hank and Tank that they lost whatever they had.  

Axiom tells Frazer not to be so mean.

Brad Baylor and Ricky Smokes show up and they introduce themselves to Frazer and Axiom.  They want to know how they measure up.

Frazer accepts their challenge and Axiom is not happy.

Roxanne Perez walks past and Baylor says there is a lot of talent around here.

Roxanne Perez vs. Kelani Jordan

They lock up and Perez pushes Jordan on the break and Jordan pushes back.  Jordan with a side head lock and take down.  Jordan with a head scissors and Perez with a reversal.  Jordan with a reversal.  Perez with a jackknife cover and she gets a near fall.  Perez with a leg sweep and cover followed by the same from Jordan.  Perez wants a test of strength and Perez bridges and Jordan gets a near fall.  Jordan gets a few more near falls.  Perez gets the advantage on the knuckle lock and Perez gets a near fall.  Perez with a victory roll for a near fall.  Jordan gets a near fall.  Perez with an arm wringer.  Jordan with a rollup for a near fall.  Jordan with a wrist lock.

Perez with a reversal and take down for a near fall.  Perez with a La Magistral for a near fall.  Perez with a bridge for a near fall.  Jordan with a body scissors.  Perez with a hammer lock.  Jordan with a reversal.  Perez with a side head lock and arm wringer.  Jordan with an Irish whip and Perez floats over despite Jordan not charging into the corner.  Jordan with an arm drag into an arm bar.  Perez with a side head lock and she sends Jordan to the mat.  Jordan blocks a punch  or two and she slaps Perez.  Jordan with a Tiger Feint arm drag and drop kick.  Perez goes to the apron and Jordan with a face buster in the ropes followed by a hesitation leg drop to the back of the head for a near fall.  Perez grabs the ring skirt and the referee puts it back in place and Perez rakes the eyes and sends Jordan shoulder first into the ring post.

Perez has the arm over the turnbuckle and Perez stomps on the arm.  The referee checks on Jordan and Perez with a knee drop to the arm.  Perez kicks Jordan in the ropes and gets a near fall.  Perez wraps the arm in the rope and does more damage to the arm.  Perez with a hammer lock and she sends Jordan shoulder first into the turnbuckles.  Perez tries to do it again but Jordan sends Perez into the turnbuckles.  Jordan with an inside cradle for a near fall.  Jordan with a standing switch and a rollup for a near fall.  Perez kicks out and sends Jordan into the turnbuckles.  Perez misses a knee drop to the arm.  

Jordan with forearms but Perez with an uppercut to the arm followed by a knee.  Perez with a hammer lock Northern Lights suplex for a near fall.  Perez sends Jordan face first into the mat and connects with an elbow drop.  Perez hyper-extends the arm and she gets a near fall.  Perez with an arm bar.  Perez with a hammer lock but Jordan with a flying mare.  Perez sends Jordan to the apron and Perez drops Jordan’s arm on the top rope.  Perez sets to stomp on the arm again on the turnbuckle but Jordan with a leg sweep.  Jordan with a forearm and Perez fires back.  They continue the exchange.  Jordan with a flurry of forearms and a flying forearm and clothesline.  Jordan with a cartwheel back elbow.  Jordan is sent face first to the mat by Perez and Perez with a drop kick to the ribs.  Perez with a suicide dive.

Jordan drop kicks Perez off the apron and Jordan with a twisting pescado onto Perez.  Jordan with a cross body and a sit out DDT for a near fall.  Jordan gets Perez on her shoulders but Perez counters with an arm drag.  Jordan blocks a back heel kick and Jordan with a step over heel kick.  Jordan misses a split legged moonsault and Perez with a round off knee to the back of the head for a near fall.  Perez slaps Jordan and Perez backs off.  Jordan goes windmill with strikes.  Jordan escapes Pop Rox.  Perez with a waist lock but Jordan holds on to the ropes.  Jordan with a kick to the knee followed by a DDT and a split legged moonsault for the three count.

Winner: Kelani Jordan via Pinfall.

Backstage: Ava. Stevie Turner, Mr. Stone

Stevie Turner apologizes for Swipe Right.  She says they have been a headache.

Stone wants to talk about Stand and Deliver.

Ava says her focus is on Dark State.  They will not intimidate them.  Next week they are in a six man tag match.  They will face Oba Femi, Je’Von Evans, and Trick Williams.

Backstage: Ricky Saints

Sarah asks Ricky Saints about his match against Shawn Spears.

Ricky says it will take more than a cheap shot to take him out.  Do you want to talk about history?  He is not worried about the past.  He is the future.  He will be tricked out in gold tonight.  You took a long time to taste glory but he will win tonight.  The revolution will be televised and he will be the champion.

Backstage: Zaria, Sol Ruca, Kelani Jordan

Zaria and Sol Ruca are in back and Zaria says she wants Sol with her at Stand and Deliver.

Kelani Jordan shows up and she says she beat one of the best champions.  She is going to win the ladder match.

Sol says it will be her or Zaria who win.

Zaria wants to know what is going on and Sol says she has a qualifier next week.

Video: Dark State

Dark State is outside and they say no one knows when they will strike.  Dion says the whole locker room is looking out for them.  They wonder if Tony is watching.

Next Week’s Show Card Rundown

Next week, Dark State faces Oba Femi, Je’Von Evans, and Trick Williams.  Jordynne Grace faces Jaida Parker.

NXT North American Championship
Ricky Saints vs. Shawn Spears (c)

The bell rings and Spears goes to the floor so Ricky with a suicide dive.  Ricky with punches and chops around the ring.  They return to the ring and Spears avoids a drop kick.  Ricky wih a drop kick.  Ricky sends Spears into the turnbuckles and connects with punches.  Spears goes to the floor and Ricky comes off the apron but Spears with a kick.  Saints with a back body drop on the floor.  Saints goes to the ringside barrier to go Old School.  Ricky poses on the ringside barrier and then he sends Spears back into the ring.  Ricky goes up top and Spears goes up top and hits an overhead belly-to-belly superplex.  Spears punches Ricky.  Spears with a back breaker.  

Spears goes to the floor and he moves the ring steps.  Spears sends Ricky to the floor and Spears follows.  Ricky with punches and Spears reverse an Irish whip and goes over the ring steps.  Ricky comes off the ring steps and is met with a super kick.  Spears with a back breaker onto the ring steps.  Spears mocks Saints on the ring steps.  They return to the ring.  Spears gets a near fall.  Spears with a forearm to the back.  Saints with a punch and chops.  Spears with a hard Irish whip and he punches Saints.  Spears with a slam and he goes to the turnbuckles.  Ricky punches Spears to stop him.  Ricky goes up top and he connects with a forearm.  Saints sets for a superplex but Spears with punches.  Ricky with forearms.  Saints with a super Jackhammer but he cannot make the cover.  

Spears punches Ricky and Ricky punches back.  They go back and forth.  Ricky and Spears with chops.  Ricky iwth punches.  Spears with an Irish whip and Ricky with a series of clotheslines.  Ricky tries for a tornado DDT but Spears pushes him away.  Ricky with a spinebuster.  Ricky sets for Roshambo but Spears gets to the floor.  Ricky with a tornado DDT off the apron.  Ricky sends Spears back into the ring and Niko gets on the apron.  Izzi gives Spears the belt and Spears hits Ricky with it and Spears gets a near fall.  Spears gets Ricky up for C4, but Ricky escapes and Ricky with a Death Valley Driver.  Ricy brings Brooks into the ring and he knocks Niko off the apron.  Ricky clotheslines Brooks over the top rope and he spears Niko.  Ricky with a spear and Roshambo for the three count.

Winner: Ricky Saints via Pinfall to become the new NXT North American Champion.

After the match, Saints celebrates in the ring, but Ethan Page comes from behind and hits a cutter.

Page holds the title belt over Saints.
