Becky Lynch Comments on In-Ring Future Being “Maybe One Day But Not Right Now”

As noted before, Becky Lynch has been on a break from wrestling since this past June. Lynch had signed a new contract with WWE earlier this year following the expiration of her prior deal this past June.

Friday’s Ultimate Improv Show event on April 11th in Los Angeles, California featured Lynch as one of the guests. One of the topics discussed included Lynch providing an update on the future of her in-ring wrestling career.

“It’s WrestleMania season, isn’t it? Look, I’m not wrestling anymore. Maybe one day, but not right now. But my husband is!”

Drew McIntyre Suffered Head Injury on Friday’s WWE SmackDown Show

Friday’s WWE SmackDown show in Seattle, Washington featured Drew McIntyre announcing that he has been medically cleared from his eye injury and accepted the Sin City Street Fight stipulation for his match against Damian Priest at WrestleMania 41. Besides the announcements, McIntyre and Priest also brawled that ended with McIntyre hitting Priest with the steel steps and followed it with a Future Shock DDT onto it.

Following his brawl and segment, McIntyre announced on Instagram that he had suffered a head wound injury that required staples to close.

This injury was in the same place where he had previously suffered a head wound injury during his Hell in a Cell match against CM Punk at this past October’s Bad Blood 2024 event.


More on NXT April 8, 2025 Viewership

The April 8th episode of WWE NXT saw NXT gain a small increase in overall viewership and a slight increase in key demographic ratings.

NXT drew 683,000 viewers and a 0.17 key demographic rating on The CW.

Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the main reasons for NXT’s increases this week was due to the large increase from their overall key demographic viewership group, which was up 13.5% compared to last week’s show. Of NXT’s key demographic viewership increase, their younger key demographic viewership group was up 33.3% compared to last week’s show.

In terms of head-to-head competition, the NBA game of Boston Celtics vs. New York Knicks drew 1,518,000 viewers on TNT, the NHL game of Toronto Maple Leafs vs. Florida Panthers drew 216,000 viewers on ESPN, the MLB game of Philadelphia Phillies vs. Atlanta Braves drew 230,000 viewers on TBS, Curse of Oak Island drew 1,720,000 viewers on History Channel, Love & Hip Hop Atlanta drew 316,000 viewers on MTV, Chopped drew 429,000 viewers on Food Network, and Real Housewives of Beverly Hills drew 816,000 viewers on BRAVO.

In terms of key demographic viewership, NXT had 227,000 viewers. Meltzer reported that NXT’s male/female viewership skew was 67.6% in favor of males.

In terms of yearly comparisons, NXT was up 6.2% in overall viewership and but down 11.3% in key demographic viewership.
