Meiko Satomura Comments on Still Being Undecided on Opponent and Singles or Tag for Her Retirement Match
Tokyo Sports held a recent interview with Japanese wrestling legend Meiko Satomura. One of the topics discussed included Satomura’s thoughts about her having yet to decide on an opponent for her retirement match nor if she wants it to be a singles or as a tag team match.
“I thought I would be able to see it about three months ago, but I still can’t see it. It’s less than a month until my retirement match, but I still can’t see it. I want to carefully select the wrestler I will entrust my future to and then make a decision. I still don’t know if it will be a singles match or a tag team match.”
Satomura also gave her thoughts about the potential of her retirement match being a rematch with Chihiro Hashimoto for the Sendai Girls’ World Championship.
“I think that’s possible (to do a rematch with Chihiro Hashimoto for my final match). I can definitely see it. I have to make a decision in the next few days…”
CMLL Talents Announced for This Saturday’s ROH TV Taping in Springfield, MA
AEW recently announced CMLL talents Zandokan, Euforia, Barbaro Cavernario, Atlantis Jr., Esfinge, Fuego, and La Catalina will be making an appearance for Ring of Honor for their ROH TV tapings on April 12th at the MassMutual Center in Springfield, Massachusetts.
This taping will be held as part of AEW’s Collision taping that night at the same venue.
It was announced that Zandokan, Euforia, & Barbaro Cavernario will be teaming up in a Trios match against Atlantis Jr., Esfinge, & Fuego at the taping.
It was also announced that La Catalina will be facing off against Taya Valkyrie at the taping as well.
