Alex Hammerstone Comments on His TNA Departure Being “I Felt Like The Company Stopped Caring About Me”
As noted before, Alex Hammerstone’s contract with TNA Wrestling expired this past February and made his surprise return to Major League Wrestling at this past Saturday’s Battle Riot VII event.
Sports Illustrated’s The Takedown on SI held a recent interview with Hammerstone. One of the topics discussed included Hammerstone’s thoughts about his departure from TNA and his belief that the company had stopped caring about him for his decision to leave the company.
“At a certain point, perception is reality. So I’m sitting there and from my perception, I felt like the company stopped caring about me and maybe I needed to do something in a different way. Maybe they were looking for something that I wasn’t giving them. But also that was never a conversation that was had. I’d be very happy to be sat down and told, ‘hey, creatively, this is what we want to do. So we need to see more of this out of you.’ And I never got that. It was just like, hey, where are we going creatively? And a lot of times it’s like, well, you know what you’re doing with this guy. You know what you’re doing this that guy, so why don’t you know what you’re doing with me?”

One that saw a master impart his knowledge to a young and hungry wolf. A pup now grown into a ravenous, mad dog.
Will the teacher have to put a bullet into this rabid predator or will the student bite that hand that feeds completely off?

I understand it’s business and I can’t be angry at that but Bloodsport just like last year was the whole reason I was going to Maina Week this year and to be a regular part of that show is probably my biggest goal in wrestling Now that has been taken away from me I don’t know where that leaves me for Vegas next week, or in pro wrestling as a whole for that matter. I can physically get over the time and money I will lose that l’ve put into this but emotionally I feel like my heart has been ripped out and I really dunno what’s next now…”
