Mariah May AEW Contract Update – May Believed to be Leaving AEW for WWE

As noted before, “The Glamour” Mariah May’s contract with AEW is currently believed to potentially be expiring this summer. May has been absent from AEW since Revolution 2025 this past March.

May recently posted an Instagram story featuring a plane window and the text of “You can’t make the wrong decision because every decision leads you to where you’re supposed to be.” This led to online speculation of May potentially leaving AEW for another company likely to be WWE.

Dave Meltzer reported in a recent episode of the Wrestling Observer Radio that his sources within WWE stated that they know that May wants to go to their company. Those spoken to reportedly also stated that the current belief is that her contract expires this summer.

Bryan Alvarez reported that May is believed to have initially signed a two-year deal with AEW and the current belief within AEW is that she will be leaving for WWE once her deal expires.

PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that his sources stated that May still has “significant time” left on her contract. One source spoken to reportedly stated that they believe May’s contract could run through November of this year while another source stated that they believe there may be additional time beyond that.

Johnson reported that the recent rumor making rounds within days of May’s program with “Timeless” Toni Storm ending that May had requested her release from AEW was something that he was not able to confirm as being accurate.

Johnson also reported that those spoken to within WWE did not reveal what is the current interest level for signing May to a potential deal with the company.

May has been with AEW since November of 2023.
