Chris Jericho Reportedly Taking Break from AEW

As noted before, this past Wednesday AEW Dynamite show in Baltimore, Maryland featured Chris Jericho announcing that he was “leaving” the Learning Tree over his disappointment in Big Bill and Bryan Keith and would not be returning until things change for the better for Bill and Keith in the group.

Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that his sources stated that Jericho is currently taking a break from AEW for the reason for his “leaving” the Learning Tree storyline.

Meltzer reported that Jericho is currently scheduled to go on tour with Fozzy from April 17th to May 12th but he has Wednesdays off for this new tour.

Meltzer also reported that when the new tour was set up, the original idea was that Jericho would be back for Dynamite shows. This plan reportedly changed after Jericho felt it is the right time for him to take a break from AEW.

Meltzer also reported that a timetable for Jericho’s return is currently not known nor if it will likely be talked about within AEW until it is time for him to make a “surprise” return.
