Jon Moxley Attacks Willow Nightingale & Swerve Strickland Promised Revenge on Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite Show
Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show at the Peoria Civic Center in Peoria, Illinois featured Swerve Strickland & Willow Nightingale defeating the Death Riders (Jon Moxley & Marina Shafir) in a Mixed Tag Team Tornado match.
During the match, Nightingale shoved Moxley off the apron and through a table. Following the match, Moxley got back in the ring and started to walk towards Shafir only to grab Nightingale and hit her with a Paradigm Shift before leaving the ring before Strickland could get to him. This led to medics coming out to check on Nightingale as Strickland looked on in concern.
What are you doing, Jon?!

In a follow-up segment, Nightingale was seen being attended to by a medic in the trainers room as Strickland and Prince Nana were outside. Renee Paquette interviewed Strickland to get some words about Moxley’s heinous attack on Nightingale. Strickland responded stating that Nightingale is strong and brought up if Moxley had specifically attacked her neck due to her past neck issues. Strickland then promised that by the end of the night he will have his hands on Jon Moxley.

In another follow up segment, Paquette attempted to get another update on Nightingale from Strickland only for Strickland to be seen arguing with Nana backstage. Strickland responded stating that he is focused on finding Moxley instead only to get quickly interrupted by Hangman Adam Page. This led to Page and Strickland talking about their bad blood and Page burning down Strickland’s childhood home. Page stated that Strickland deserved it and Strickland responding back stating “I know.” This led to Page being caught off guard over Strickland’s admission and walked away. Strickland then continued his search for Moxley only to be ambushed by the Death Riders. This led to the Death Riders bringing Strickland to ringside and continued their attack. They then sent Strickland into the ring leading to Moxley telling Yuta to reveal what is inside the bucket, which was broken glass. Claudio Castagnoli then proceeded to powerbomb Strickland onto the glass and after some staring down, Moxley and the Death Riders left the ring and made their way through the crowd. This led to Strickland sitting up with broken glass stuck to his back and looked on angrily at the Death Riders while the Death Riders looked back in shock.
