AEW: Bryan Danielson Neck Surgery Plans Update, Prince Nana on His Belief Queen Aminata Can Reach Mercedes Mone & Toni Storm Star Status, AEW Dynasty 2025 PPV Buys Early Estimates

Bryan Danielson Neck Surgery Plans Update

Bryan Danielson has been absent from AEW since his full-time in-ring retirement match at this past October’s AEW WrestleDream 2024 event. Danielson has been expected to undergo neck surgery at some point to repair his neck issues and make a decision on the future of his wrestling career.

Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that his sources stated that Danielson has yet to undergo neck surgery and wants to avoid it if possible for other treatments.

Meltzer reported that Danielson’s neck is still in bad shape and he had been considering the idea to try other means such as stem cell treatment to repair his neck.

In regards to Danielson’s in-ring future, Meltzer reported that it still up in the air based on those last spoken to.

Prince Nana Comments on His Belief Queen Aminata Can Reach Mercedes Mone and Toni Storm Star Status & Interested in Managing her

A recent episode of F4WOnline’s Josh Nason’s Punch-Out podcast featured Prince Nana as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Nana’s thoughts about his belief that Queen Aminata can reach the level of stardom as Mercedes Mone and “Timeless” Toni Storm in wrestling and his interest in potentially managing her.

“You know what? Let me just say this, it’s the same aura of when I was about to start working with Swerve (Strickland). We obviously are friends and she’s great in the ring and this and that but I know if they ever do take that step, that’s it. Mercedes Moné status and Toni Storm status in all of the wrestling business but, she’ll even do it without me. She don’t need me. If I could just add that to my collection right now — right now, it’s hard with Swerve. There’s a lot of business that needs to be taken care of so, I don’t like to have too many things going on but Queen Aminata, hey, hey, hey. I’ll bring her in like that my friend… and she’ll be a huge, huge, huge star. Even bigger than she is right now. I love Queen Aminata.”

Early PPV Buys Estimates for AEW Dynasty 2025

AEW’s Dynasty 2025 event this past Sunday in Philadelphia, Pennslyvania reportedly is currently estimated to have generated the second highest pay-per-view buys for an AEW event since this past August’s All In 2024 event, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

Dave Meltzer reported that Dynasty 2025 is currently estimated to have generated around 110,000 to 120,000 buys based on early estimates and data. Meltzer reported that this is within the same ballpark that last year’s event drew for its final buys number of 122,000.

Meltzer reported that only this past March’s Revolution 2025 event was higher for PPV buys for that time period.
