The Hardy Boyz Comments on Their Victory Over Axiom to Retain TNA Tag Titles & Wanting Shot for NXT Tag Titles, Fraxiom Responds Back
This past Tuesday’s WWE NXT show at The Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York City, New York featured The Hardy Boyz (Matt & Jeff Hardy) defeating Fraxiom (Nathan Frazer & Axiom) to retain the TNA World Tag Team Championship.
Following the show, WWE held a digital exclusive backstage interview with The Hardy Boyz discussing their thoughts about their victory over Fraxiom to retain their TNA World Tag Team Championship and their interest in wanting a rematch with Fraxiom’s NXT Tag Team titles on the line.
Matt Hardy – “The moment tonight was incredible. The reaction these New York folk gave us in Madison Square Garden was just off the charts. It was exhilarating, it was intoxicating. We’re four decades into this, and we’re not necessarily supposed to get moments like this at this stage of our career, but we are still getting it. To face these guys at this show, on this event, for NXT, just made our night, and it was really special.”
Jeff Hardy – “I think I just have a statement and a question. Their human hearts are more like rocket-boosters. That’s the fastest team I’ve ever been in the ring with, and my question is, do we get a shot at the NXT Tag Titles now?”
Matt – “I was going to say, they’re incredible. I cannot put them over enough. They are amazing, and they are the NXT Tag Team Champions for very specific reasons, because they’re incredible. But tonight, we were defending the TNA World Tag Team Titles, and we were able to retain. But we did beat them. Unfortunately, the NXT Titles weren’t on the line. Maybe next time, the NXT titles will be on the line because that is something The Hardys do not have on their list of gold.”
Fraxiom’s Axiom & Frazer responded on Twitter stating that they would like to have a rematch as well.

Cappuccino Jones Comments on How He was Recruited for WWE ID Program
Grind City Wrestling held a recent interview with WWE ID talent Cappuccino Jones. One of the topics discussed included Jones’ thoughts about the process that led to him being recruited by WWE for their WWE ID indie talent developmental program.
“I did a Gabe Sapolsky seminar. He does these seminars all over the country, and he did one for the first time in Tulsa, Oklahoma, which is where I live, and this was about August of 2023, and I jumped straight on it. I was only a year in at the time, and I knew it was a big opportunity. I didn’t really expect anything to come out of it. I was just coming with the mindset to learn and get in front of someone, and I ended up just staying in touch with Gabe. He saw a lot of potential in me, so I stayed in touch with him. I would send him matches, he would give me advice, and then lo and behold, just randomly on a random day, he hits me up and tells me about WWE ID. I was like, woah, this is insane.
I’m just thankful for WWE, for this opportunity. Not only for me, I mean for me specifically, there’s a lot of indie wrestlers who spend years building up their name and a reputation, rightfully so, wrestling all over the country, out the country. I’ve only been wrestling for two years, and I still did the drives, still doing the drives, still set up rings, all that stuff, but I feel like WWE ID is really cool because it’s another pathway for people who don’t have the popularity yet, who don’t have that stature yet, to get on these bigger cards, to get their name out there. So I’m just forever grateful that they took a chance on a guy like me because no one knew I was, essentially, outside of my little bubble. Like you said, you just started seeing Cappuccino Jones everywhere. I hear that all the time. People are like, ‘No offense, I had no idea who you were.’ I’m like, ‘None taken. I wouldn’t either.'”
