Odyssey Jones Domestic Violence Allegations & WWE Release Update – Jones Files Defamation Lawsuit Against His Accuser Over WWE Firing
As noted before, Odyssey Jones, real name Omari Palmer, was released from WWE this past September following allegations of domestic violence against him. Jones denied the allegations and was seeking legal action against his accuser.
Post Wrestling and Wrestlenomics’ Brandon Thurston reported that Palmer had filed a defamation lawsuit against his former partner and accuser Meileth Nunez on January 20th in Orange County, Florida based on recent court records.
In the filing, Palmer accused Nunez of libel and slander against him and claimed she had falsely alleged he physically abused her, leading to his dismissal from WWE.
Palmer also claimed that Nunez had “falsely communicated” with WWE’s parent company, TKO Group Holdings, between May and July of 2024, accusing him of nonsexual physical assault on multiple occasions.
In the filing, Palmer claimed that Nunez’s claims were false, malicious, and directly resulted in his termination from WWE in September of 2024. Palmer also claimed that Nunez made false allegations in “both written and verbal communications to TKO Group and various news outlets” and her statements were “maliciously made with actual knowledge of the statements’ falsity.”
Thurston reported that Nunez had officially responded to the lawsuit on February 24th denying making false statements against Palmer.
In a recent statement to Post Wrestling, Nunez had reiterated denying Palmer’s allegations and calling the lawsuit retaliatory. Nunez also stated that she intends to file counterclaims against Palmer for harassment and to pursue an order of protection against him.
Nunez reportedly had also provided excerpts from a letter she stated she had sent to Palmer’s attorney Roddy Lanigan in which she states that “investigative findings from TKO concluded there was probable cause for [Palmer’s] termination based on his conduct.”
Thurston reported that Palmer is currently seeking damages over $50,000.
