WWE: Mandy Rose on WWE Calling Stephanie Vaquer First Ever Double Women’s Champion in NXT & Feeling Being Erased from WWE, Saraya on Potential WWE Return, More News

Mandy Rose Comments on Her Issues with WWE Calling Stephanie Vaquer The First Ever Double Women’s Champion in NXT & Feeling Being Erased from WWE

In response to a recent fan tweet, former WWE wrestler Mandy Rose gave her thoughts about WWE calling Stephanie Vaquer the first ever double Women’s Champion in NXT history. Rose held the NXT Women’s Championship and NXT UK Women’s Championship belts at the same time in 2022.

This fan stated “I like when @WWE tries to pretend that their own history doesn’t exist. Or that we’re all stupid or something. @mandysacs was the 1st women’s double champion, don’t let them fool you. And that’s no knock at Steph she’s great. She’s just not the 1st.” Rose responded stating “Haha yea it’s pretty pathetic isn’t it!! Thanks for the recognition tho! Appreciate you!!🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻”

A recent episode of the Busted Open Radio podcast featured Rose as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Rose’s thoughts about if she was surprised that she is not referenced on NXT television for the double Women’s Champion stuff.

“It does. I really don’t know what it was. Circumstantial, and there have been a lot of people in the company where things happen and time goes on and they come back. It’s a business, at the end of the day, and they look at it like a business. I have no idea what it is. I thought maybe I’d be back too, wrestling in general. The cards right now for me, I’m doing really well and does it make sense for me to go back to wrestling? I don’t know, and that’s something I’m still unsure about. I’ve never hung up the boots and said I’m done. I’m still young. If it made sense, I would definitely consider it.”

Rose also gave her thoughts about her current belief that she would not be accepted back to WWE for a potential return to the company.

“I don’t know if they would accept me back. I don’t know how they feel. I’ve never had a conversation. Are they really offended with what happened? I don’t know. Maybe they just don’t want to be associated with me anymore, in a sense, because I feel like I’m a little bit erased in certain scenarios. NXT did mention me not too long ago. It was a promo package and they were talking about the women in general evolving, which was cool. That gave me a little glimmer of hope, ‘Oh, I got a little recognition there.’ I feel like I am a little erased from their rolodex of superstars. I could be wrong.”

Saraya Comments on Her Interest in Potential WWE Return in Future & If She Would Come Back as Paige or as Saraya

As noted before, Saraya departed from AEW this past Wednesday in a decision that Saraya had stated was “mutual” by both sides.

A recent episode of the B4 The Bell podcast featured Saraya as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Saraya’s thoughts about her interest in a potential return to WWE in the future.

“You know what, this came up so much at my signing yesterday. I didn’t realize, I always have this insecurity I guess where I feel like people just don’t give a crap about me [laughs], and I have to be reminded of it all the time. I really do. I really do. But I get so many people wondering if I’m gonna go back there. I’m just like, I don’t know. I don’t know. Maybe if there’s something cool that comes along and they would want me back there. Maybe. Who knows? Who knows what the future holds? Never say never.”

Saraya also gave her thoughts about if she would potentially come back under her old WWE ring name of Paige or under her current ring name of Saraya.

“Paige. Paige. Paige, I felt like I could leave that character at the door. I love being Saraya, and I love that people know me as Saraya and stuff like that. With Paige though, I felt like I built such a special thing with her, and then when I got home, I didn’t have to be her anymore. But I loved who I built with her. She was a badass. I loved being her, and she has built my life. I got a movie made about Paige. A lot of my career is built on that character, and people love that character, and that’s the one that kind of stood out compared to everybody else. She has a special place in my heart. If I was to go back, Paige in a heartbeat. Same music, Paige, everything.”

The Hollywood Reporter reported that their sources stated Disney’s 20th Century Studios has signed a deal with Martin Scorsese for his new untitled crime boss film. This new film is set to feature Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson in a staring role among its cast.

WWE recently revealed the next match in their on-going countdown of their Top 50 matches in WrestleMania history. The 21st spot was the Mixed Tag Team match of Ronda Rousey & Kurt Angle vs. Stephanie McMahon & Triple H from WrestleMania 34.

WWE also recently released two new videos to their WWE Vault channel on YouTube. The first new video was the Stone Cold Steve Austin vs. Scott Hall from WWE WrestleMania X8. WWE also recently released one new video to their NXT Vault channel on YouTube. This new video was the full April 17, 2014 episode of WWE NXT.

In a recent interview with the Wrestling Life with Ben Veal podcast, former TNA wrestler James Storm gave his thoughts about TNA’s current partnership with WWE. Storm stated “I think it’s great, especially for all the guys and girls that are with TNA at the moment because — TNA is hard to find over here, you have to have a certain subscription and everything, so I think this is going to help draw way more eyeballs to TNA, which is really good for these guys and girls. I mean, especially if they can interchange and go wrestle for NXT as well, as I say, this is the opportunity. Don’t piss it away because this opportunity might not come again, so take every advantage of it that you can.” Storm also gave his thoughts about the potential of WWE buying TNA in the future. Storm stated “You know, that’s the theory going around, is this is kind of a toe in the water [situation] to see how it can go and stuff. I’m sure WWE would love to buy TNA just for the library, you can have all the guys when they were in their prime with AJ and Kurt Angle and Samoa Joe. You know, you have all these guys that were in the WWE now they can show on the library, especially being on Netflix as well now.” (Transcript h/t: Fightful.com)

In a recent interview with the Insight with Chris Van Vliet podcast, former WWE talent Cedric Alexander gave his thoughts about his working relationship with WWE CCO Paul “Triple H” Levesque during his time in the company and why he felt more like a “Paul Heyman” guy than a “Triple H” guy. Alexander stated “Honestly, it didn’t go past that, funny enough. You would think from that moment I’d be a Triple H guy. So there was a point where we were in 205 Live that he kind of had some say in there a little bit, and kind of took care of me. But I was never really a fully Triple H guy. I was more of a Paul Heyman guy. When he was writing Raw, and they drafted me out of 205 Live into Raw, I was more of a Heyman guy than anything else. Heyman give me a bunch of little sidebar conversations this, that and the other way more than Triple H did.” Alexander also gave his thoughts about what he learned from Heyman for his wrestling career. Alexander stated “Patience, for better or worse, patience. I remember there was one point I went to Heyman and I was just like, I was probably on Raw for like a year, but they haven’t really done anything with me. And I was like, Hey, Paul, What do you need for me in order to get to that next level? I think this is maybe right after we did the whole thing with AJ and the squash match we did on Night of Champions in Charlotte. He was just telling me just wait. We’ll take care of you. If you gotta wait six months, wait six months. If you gotta wait a year. Wait a year. And I swear I’m going, I will be the best soldier I can be and just wait it out. And every time they called me for something, whether it was the Gary Garbutt thing or any other random thing they asked for. I was, hey, I’m here. What do you want me to do?” (Transcript h/t: Fightful.com)
