IYO SKY Comments on Her Winning WWE Women’s World Title on Monday’s RAW Show

As noted before, Monday’s WWE RAW show in Buffalo, New York featured IYO SKY defeating Rhea Ripley to become the new Women’s World Champion.

Following the show, WWE held a digital exclusive backstage interview with SKY. One of the topics discussed included SKY’s thoughts about her championship victory over Ripley.

“I have no words anymore. It’s so [surprising], but I made it, and the crowd gave [a] great reaction to me. Oh my gosh, and also, I’m going to WrestleMania now.”

SKY also gave her thoughts about her upcoming match against Bianca Belair for the title at WrestleMania 41.

“Bianca Belair, I know she’s so strong, and she’s the EST. But I am the champ, yeah. I’m gonna defend this title. This is my title.”

The Hardy Boyz Appearance Announced for Tuesday’s WWE NXT Show

During Monday’s WWE RAW show in Buffalo, WWE announced that current TNA World Tag Team Champions The Hardy Boyz (Matt & Jeff) Hardy will be making an appearance on Tuesday’s WWE NXT show at their Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.

The Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer reported that this past Saturday’s WWE Elimination Chamber 2025 event generated around 200,000 searches on Google for that night. In regards to specific searches, Meltzer reported that John Cena generated 200,000 searches, Trish Stratus had 50,000 searches, and Travis Scott, WrestleMania, Randy Orton, and Jade Cargill all had 20,000 searches each.

This past Saturday’s WWE Elimination Chamber 2025 event in Toronto, Ontario, Canada featured Kevin Owens defeating Sami Zayn in an Unsanctioned match. This match was notable for Owens and Zayn using a bared wire chair as one of the weapons in the match. Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp reported that his sources stated that the current claim within WWE is that the barbed wire used for the chair weapon was not gimmicked or shaved down at the request of at least one talent.

WWE announced on Monday that they will be launching a new podcast series called ” The RAW Recap Show” hosted by Megan Morant and Sam Roberts. It was announced that the series will be premiering on Tuesday, March 4th and new episodes to be released weekly on Tuesdays.

The United States Senate held a vote on Monday to officially confirm Linda McMahon as the new Secretary of the Department of Education. This vote was 51 to 45 in favor of the confirmation and along party lines. This will be the second time that McMahon will be serving as a member of President Donald J. Trump’s cabinet, following her being the Secretary of Small Business Administration from 2017 to 2019 during Trump’s first term.

As noted before, NXT talent Noam Dar has been out of action for WWE since this past May due to an undisclosed injury that may or may not be a legitimate torn tendon injury. Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp reported in a recent Q&A article that his sources confirmed that Dar has been sidelined with an injury since this past May but it is currently not known when he will be medically cleared for an in-ring return.

WWE recently revealed the next matches in their on-going countdown of their Top 50 matches in WrestleMania history. The 47th spot was the WWE Universal Championship match of Brock Lesnar vs. Golberg (c) from WrestleMania 33. The 46th spot was the Mr. T & Hulk Hogan vs. Roddy Rowdy Piper & Paul Orndorff tag team match from WrestleMania I. The 45th spot was the WWE World Heavyweight Championship match of The Undertaker vs. Batista (c) from WrestleMania 23.

WWE also recently released three new videos to their WWE Vault channel on YouTube. The first new video was the full “WrestleFest ’91 – Warrior vs. Earthquake, LOD vs. Hart Foundation and more!” home video. The second new video was the singles match of Fandango vs. Chris Jericho from WWE WrestleMania 29. The third new video was a “WWE Superstars in EVOLVE – Street Profits, Shotzi, Raquel and more!”

WWE also recently released two new videos to their NXT Vault channel on YouTube. The first new video was the full May 25, 2010 episode of WWE NXT. The second new video was the full June 1, 2012 episode of WWE NXT.

WWE reportedly pulled Naomi from her scheduled media junkets on Monday to promote the upcoming Queen of the Ring film, according to PWInsider. Mike Johnson reported that his sources stated that the reason why WWE officials pulled Naomi from her scheduled promotional work was due to them wanting her to sell her attack from Jade Cargill at this past Saturday’s Elimination Chamber 2025 event.

Former WWE and current AEW talent Lio Rush recently revealed on Twitter that he did motion capture work for 2K Games for their upcoming WWE 2K25 video game. Rush stated “The community has done right by me. I’ve got a few entrances and a plethora of move sets I was able to mocap for this game. Hope I did right by you.“
