Ethan Page Comments on Matt Hardy Had 100% Given & Endorsed Him to Use Twisted Grin (Twist of Fate) Finisher

A recent episode of The Ringer Wrestling Worldwide podcast featured WWE NXT brand talent “All Ego” Ethan Page as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Page’s thoughts about him getting to work with The Hardys over the last couple of years in his wrestling career.

“I have, I think, a great relationship, at least with Matt. Jeff is an enigma in real life. I don’t know how to read the guy. Very interesting. Very passionate. Very good dude. Keeps to himself a lot more. Myself and Matt are a lot more alike than we are different. I don’t know if that’s a good thing or a bad thing or if it’s actually going to benefit our relationship or hinder it. I would say it’s good. Both of us have been supportive of each other…like I need to support the Hardys, they are the Hardys, but I’ve always been a fan of those guys. Getting to work with them over the last couple of years, my appreciation quadrupled. The respect I have for both of them, especially Matt, I just got to work with him a lot closer. Those guys blew me away. I learned a lot from them, especially Matt, things I’ll take with me for the rest of my career. Things that prepared me for the opportunities I’m getting in NXT right now. I’ll forever be grateful to those guys.”

Page also gave his thoughts about Matt Hardy had endorsed him to use his Twist of Fate move in WWE, which Page calls his version of the move the Twisted Grin.

“1000% was endorsed and given the Twisted Grin. The whole interaction they put online, ‘Oh, your new finish, very creative. Very original.’ That’s where I got annoyed and barked back because I have the receipts. [Reading message from Matt Hardy] ‘I endorse Official Ego’ and it’s me doing the Twist of Fate. I don’t know where that came from. I thought we were thumbs up all around. Once the cameras are off, people like to act different. I’m not a big fan of that. I’m always going to be Ethan Page. Honesty is the key.”

This past January’s Royal Rumble 2025 event featured WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Bella making a surprise return appearance as one of the surprise competitors in the Women’s Royal Rumble match. In a recent interview with Metro, Chelsea Green gave her thoughts about her having recent talks with Bella and being interested in having a potential match in the future. Green stated “I’ve shared some words with Nikki Bella. I feel like… look. We’ve had a friendship for years, now maybe it is time to step in the ring and square off, face off. I don’t know! Vegas and WrestleMania in Las Vegas is just so special, because I think anything could happen. We really don’t know right now, we’re on the Road to WrestleMania. We don’t know where this is going to go, what storylines are going to be put into place. I feel like the people want it. So, should we give them what they want?” Green also gave her thoughts about Bella’s contributions to women’s wrestling. Green stated “She looks amazing. She’s been such a pivotal woman in this women’s evolution, and the Give Divas a Chance movement. She was kind of a trailblazer! So I just think having her back is, really, a gain all around for the women’s division. I mean, can you imagine if on April 19 or 20th, we saw Nikki Bella in Las Vegas, on the grandest stage of them all? I would be watching as a fan, whether I was in the ring with her or not.

In a recent interview with WFAN, Seth Rollins gave his thoughts about his belief that the wrestling business is currently in a better place than it was twelve years ago when he started his wrestling career in WWE. Rollins stated “The business has changed so much, it’s evolved so much. And it’s so much more, you know, user-friendly I suppose, for us as performers. The schedule is way pared down even from when I started back in 2012. I went from wrestling 200-plus matches a year to now maybe doing like 50 at most … The money is a little better [laughs]. The money is a little better,” he responded. “The business is in a much healthier place than it was, you know, 12 years ago. So — it’s fantastic. And, yeah, you’re right, dude. Those guys [from past eras], it wrecked families. The business wrecked families. Because what are you going to do? You’re on the road for a month at a time. There [was] no oversight, there’s no help to get you healthy, you’re just constantly running and running, and it wears you down.” (Transcript h/t: F4WOnline.com)

As noted before, ECW legend New Jack was recently announced to be among the DLC wrestlers for the recently released WWE 2K25 video game. In a recent interview with PWInsider, WWE 2K producer Bryan Williams revealed that WWE President Nick Khan was the one who has pushed for New Jack’s inclusion for the game. Williams stated “New Jack was a shock to all of us on the Visual Concepts and marketing side. New Jack was someone who I never expected would make it into our franchise. It’s funny because it was actually Nick Khan who recommended or suggested that we add New Jack as DLC. When I heard that information from my marketing rep I was like, ‘Really?’   They were like, ‘Oh yeah, he’s a big fan.’ I believe he’s working on the paperwork to make this thing a reality.  That was a huge surprise. Talk about a curveball, that thing came out of not left field, that came out of a different game altogether. So I’m really excited to have New Jack be a part of the game this year and we have some really cool things planned for New Jack.
