WWE Elimination Chamber 2025 Post-Show Press Conference: Bianca Belair on Jade Cargill’s Surprise Return & Naomi Attack, Triple H & The Rock on John Cena’s Heel Turn, Attendance & New Gate Record, The Rock on Criticisms Over Bad Blood 2024 & RAW Netflix Premiere Appearances

WWE held a post-show press conference following Saturday’s Elimination Chamber 2025 event at the Rogers Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Some of the notable highlights included:

  • During her portion of the post-show, Bianca Belair gave her thoughts about Jade Cargill’s surprise return from her “injury” and her attack on Naomi before the start of the Women’s Elimination Chamber match. Belair stated “I was so confused, honestly. I was very confused. I feel like I still need answers for that. I didn’t understand what was happening. Naomi and I, we were very sure that Liv did that. Naomi pushed to me that Liv and Raquel [attacked Jade]. When I got back from my match, Naomi wasn’t there because she was stretchered out and Jade wasn’t there. I feel like I need to talk to both to them before I jump to conclusions. Right now, I’m not really understanding what’s happening. I don’t really believe Jade would watch me team with Naomi knowing that she did that. I truly don’t believe Naomi would do something like that. I’ve known her for a very long time. Tonight was very bittersweet.
  • During his portion of the press conference, WWE CCO Paul “Triple H” Levesque stated that this year’s event broke the all-time record for highest grossing WWE event in Canada in company history. Levesque stated that the official attendance was 38,493. Levesque also stated that this year’s event had “crushed” their sponsorship record and viewership on both Peacock and Netflix was “really really strong.” No other details were given in regards to the exact figures on money grossed or viewership.
  • On the topic of John Cena’s heel turn, Levesque stated “I’ve been fortunate to be around many of they biggest things in this business in the last, say, 30 years. I don’t know if I’ve ever felt a more powerful moment in the entirety of John Cena’s career, being the one guy that you never really saw…you just, you didn’t see this coming. It puts you in a place where it’s now or never. And you can ride that out and you can rest on the things that you have done…or somebody like him can double down and say screw it, I want to be challenged right to the last moment, I want to go out on my shield,” he said. “I want to give this everything I have, I want to challenge myself, I want to do something different. I want to be afraid of it, I want to go out there and do it all. And that is the beauty of John Cena.
  • On the topic of the potential of a Women’s Championship match main eventing WrestleMania 41, Levesque stated “It’s always possible. To me, it’s always possible. As we build this, to me, nothing is locked into any spot. As we build this, what resonates the most will become the main events. Nothing is locked in. I believe, for talent, that is the best way to do it. Let everybody fight over the spot. Let everybody work their ass off and everybody try to do what we’re trying to do, which is do things outside the box and do things people haven’t seen. Let them get out there and challenge themselves so that every moment they have on TV. People forget how much value there is in the TV we put out. When you have a moment on TV, I don’t care if it’s 30 seconds, a minute, two minutes, or 20 minutes. Maximize those minutes. Tell me why you should be in that main event. Don’t go out there and go, ‘I hope they put me in the main event.’ Take it. Make it undeniable. That’s what I want talent to do. I want talent and everybody who is part of this to make it undeniable that they should be in the spot they should be in. I don’t believe in giving anybody a spot. ‘The women should have the main event spot.’ It’s nice, if it is the most interesting thing on the show and is getting the biggest reaction, which when I put them in main events, it’s because of that. They earn that. They earn the right through their hard work, their sacrifice, their dedication, just like everybody else, to be treated like everybody else and work their ass off to get what they want. I don’t treat them any differently. The reason I don’t treat them any differently is because I respect them too much to do it that way.
  • On the topic of Jade Cargill’s recent absence and surprise return at the event, Levesque stated “I know sometimes that seemed like an odd build or an odd storytelling, the way it all went down over time. Sometimes, it is ver difficult to do. It is very difficult to tell a story when you don’t know the outcome that you have in front of you yet. Is she going to be back? Is she going to be back soon or really long? You just don’t have any answers. Each week, you’re kind of kicking the can down the road a little bit to see where you get to. Luckily, she was able to come back when she did, right now, and we were able to get to the place we did tonight. I thought it was an incredible moment and so happy for her to be able to come back and do that. Excited to see where that leads with her and Naomi.
  • During his portion of the press conference, John Cena sat down and spoke no words. Cena picked up the microphone from its stand and did a mic drop and then left from his chair and walked away.
  • During his portion of the press conference, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson gave his thoughts about John Cena’s surprise heel turn and aligning with the “Final Boss.” Johnson stated “It was an amazing moment. We as entertainers, whether in pro wrestling or film or television, you really live for moments like that where you can hopefully create something that can be very compelling and moving for the audience and take 38,000 strong in Toronto and what we have collectively thought about and talked about in the back, before and certainly after this moment, no one knew really what was going to happen. Maybe if you called it, but for the most part, I thought the moment was incredible and I personally love that. I’ve been around the block in terms of being a pro wrestler. I love this business. What I felt tonight, and I’ve been a part of some really phenomenal professional wrestling angle, and as a kid growing up, I’ve seen some amazing pro wrestling angles. I felt like tonight stood beside all of those that were iconic angles.
  • On the topic of the online criticisms over his appearances at this past October’s Bad Blood 2024 event and this past January’s WWE RAW premiere show on Netflix, Johnson stated “It meant something. I’m a long gamer. I like long gaming. I like creating with Paul [Levesque] and Brian Gewirtz and Maya Lasry, who is on my side of the team. I like creating with Paul and his team as well. We’re long gamers. A lot thought Bad Blood, when I just did a small subtle thing, there was a lot of criticism, ‘Oh, it didn’t mean anything.’ It did. It’s okay. It’s okay if you’re not thinking about it now, but just trust me when I tell you, we are thinking about this stuff and long gaming this. Same thing when we opened up with Netflix in LA when I came out at the Director of the Board and welcomed everybody and thanked Cody Rhodes for carrying the company. I gave him dap and a big hug. I knew this night was coming. We are long gaming.
  • On the topic of rapper Travis Scott potentially teaming up with him and John Cena, Johnson stated “Yes, absolutely. That’s why we’re doing it. Long gaming. I love Travis. That’s my guy. Where we have expanded to in WWE, I feel like professional wrestling has always found its unique place in culture throughout the decades. We remember Rock N Wrestling, Cyndi Lauper, Hulk Hogan, we remember the Attitude Era. Pro wrestling has had its place in culture for some time. I think we are tapping in to a unique time now, I’m not quite sure what we name this era, we’ll all figure it out. Someone will come up with something cool, I’ll say it and take credit for it. I feel like with Travis, he loves the business and loves pro wrestling. He’s a culture guy. Travis Scott is one of the greatest already, of all time. He’s a GOAT, a legend, an icon, he loves the business. We get guys and girls like that who want to come in and who are already tapping into the culture and disrupting culture in their own cool way. They want to come in, have fun at the show. Maybe they want to sit and enjoy or be on camera. But some want to get involved. Some, like Travis, deeply want to get involved. That’s what you saw tonight. We have this opportunity to create this big moment in pro wrestling that is arguably one of the biggest, maybe the biggest, and we had an opportunity to bring Travis Scott in too and start to form a union and an alliance with The Final Boss and Travis Scott. He wanted to get, to steal a term, he wanted to get his hands bloody. I whispered to him as we were going out, ‘if you get your hands bloody, make it count. Make it count.’ He slapped the shit out of Cody. He was really hyped up. Travis landed, we went in, had some words, chopped up what the night was going to look like, and I caught a contact high for about three hours, and I loved it. I need Travis every time I do an appearance. Travis smoke with Teremana, it’s game over.
