Crush’s Son Royce Adams Says He & His Mom Signed Posthumous WWE Legends Deal for Crush
A recent episode of the Power & Glory podcast featured Royce Adams, son of late WWE and WCW wrestler Brian Adams (Crush), as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Adams thoughts about Demolition recently signing WWE Legends deals and revealed that he and his mother had also recently signed a posthumous Legends deal for his late father.
“I started seeing rumors and stuff online and all that. ‘Oh, yeah, Demolition legends Axe and Smash are on a Legends Deals.’ I’m like, that’s pretty cool. Then sure enough, I get a call. I get a call, and this guy tells me, ‘Yeah, I’m with the WWE. We’re trying to reach out to the family, the owners of Crush’s estate.’ I’m like, okay, yeah, this is Royce, his son. I don’t even know how he managed to find me. He tells me that he looked at the obituary of Crush, found out he had kids, me included, and then he looked me up, and he told me he saw me on Facebook, and he was like, ‘Yeah, you were really easy to track down, actually.’ So anyway, yeah, he reached out to me and my mom, and we agreed to sign the posthumous contract, I guess you can call it, and yeah, so that’s how my dad is now a part of the whole legends thing with the rest of Demolition.”

As noted before, WWE Hall of Famer Bill Goldberg will be having a retirement match in WWE for his wrestling career at some point this year. In a recent interview with The Ariel Helwani Show, WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg gave his thoughts about if he had approached WWE about having his retirement match take place in the company. Goldberg stated “I don’t beg. I’m never going to do that. I was lucky enough one day to be on my tractor here, on the property, cutting the grass, and I get a phone call from Hunter [Triple H]. I was astonished. I hung up the first time because I didn’t know who it was. Once we had the conversation, I was extremely appreciative and honored that he would think of me. It was an interview that I did that he saw where I said I thought I was owed a retirement match and if I would still be up for that, and maybe let’s talk. It’s a testament to something I did in the past because I deserve that kind of respect. We all know it’s a business decision at the end of the day. To what degree, nobody knows. I do believe that he was speaking from the heart and he thought if it’s something that I wanted, that I deserve it. It took them that long to call me. I wasn’t going to [beg for] it. I don’t work like that. If I had to go down like I went down in Saudi, then so be it.” (Transcript h/t: Fightful.com)
In a recent episode of the Off The Top podcast, WWE Hall of Famer and co-host Rikishi gave his thoughts about who he would like to see be inducted into WWE’s Hall of Fame in the future. Rikishi stated “Umaga. I’ve been pushing for my brother to be inducted into the Hall of Fame. There’s only one Umaga. Umaga has done a lot for them, worked with a lot of the greats, had a lot of mega matches, a lot of historical matches, been in there with Donald Trump, Vince McMahon, we all remember that, Stone Cold, Jeff Hardy. The list goes on. Triple H. This guy here, during his time that he was there, everybody wanted to work with him. Not only Eki was a lovable dude in the locker room. Eki, he carried his own in there, man. He was on a mission to be able to leave his footprints in the Bloodline, in the professional wrestling world, and I feel that he definitely did that. I would love to see uncle Haku be inducted into the Hall of Fame. Why is he not there yet? We all know the king, King Haku. There’s only one. Every podcast that I listen to, when they ask who is the toughest guy you feel in professional wrestling, who’s the name that always pops up? Haku. Outside of the ring, he’s a great family man, great teacher, great uncle. He’s all of that and above. I feel that, for me, those two need to be in. Then let’s say the Headshrinkers, man. If you feel, ‘Oh, Kishi’s just pushing his family up there,’ yeah, I’m pushing my family. But I’m not saying, ‘Give it to them for whatever’. Just Google it. Google why Samu. Samu, part of the Headshrinkers. Samu in his own right, as a single competitor himself, Samu held his own. He’s been the champion up there in Montreal, Canada. Wrestled some of the greats like Dino Bravo, Ricky Martel, Abdullah the Butcher. Google Samu, then Google what the Headshrinkers has done. Worked with some of the best in the business. SST with Paul Heyman. Worked with guys like the iconic team like Road Warriors, the Steiner Brothers, the Von Erichs, the Freebirds. So yes, I hope before Kishi hits six feet deep in the ground, before my time comes, that I would love to see these names that I just mentioned to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. WWE is our home. We’ve been there 75-plus years, past, present, and the future. Still going. So don’t even test out loyalty to this company of WWE. We done talking about it. We steady showing it over and over.” (Transcript h/t: Fightful.com)
