Lex Luger Comments on Who He Would Like to Induct Him Into WWE Hall of Fame
As noted before, former WWE and WCW wrestler Lex Luger will be inducted into WWE’s Hall of Fame as a member of this year’s class.
A recent episode of the Busted Open Radio podcast featured Luger as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Luger’s thoughts about how he had been unsure that he would ever be given the honor prior to WWE’s recent announcement.
“If you told me 20 years ago I’d even have anything to do with the wrestling business ever again at the place I was in—I’d almost given up hope of it ever happening. To go from there to 20 years later to being announced in the Hall of Fame…”
Luger also gave his thoughts about Diamond Dallas Page helping to bring about his induction.
“Sting’s my best friend, but man, DDP and I have spent the last year together working out. I don’t think any of this might have happened at all without him. Him and his wife, they are special people, I’m telling you.”
Luger also gave his thoughts about the potential of him being able to walk and stand without the assistance of a wheelchair for his induction.
“I hope I can stand and maybe even walk, but we’re not there yet. But man, we’ve got a few weeks left.”
Luger’s also gave his thoughts about him wanting two people to induct him into WWE’s Hall of Fame.
“A couple of people have been discussed. I’m kind of going for, have you guys heard of a double header? I’m not long winded. When I speak, I’ll be a few minutes. So, maybe, could I have more than one guy up there with me? I have two guys in mind. It’s got to go up through the chain of command with various people. We shall see. Stay tuned.”

Rumor Killer on Shinsuke Nakamura Leaving WWE
This past Friday’s WWE SmackDown show in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania featured LA Knight defeating Shinsuke Nakamura to become the new WWE United States Champion.
Fightful Select reported that their sources denied recent rumors of Shinsuke Nakamura leaving WWE soon.
This rumor originated from a a report online that had claimed that Nakamura was set to be “benched until further notice” and WWE had no plans to renew his contract. This debunked report had also claimed that Nakamura’s match with Knight for the United States title was originally meant to take place at WrestleMania 41 but was scrapped due to a “lack of interest” and moved to last week’s SmackDown show instead.
