Karmen Petrovic Announced for GCW Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport XIII

Josh Barnett announced that WWE NXT talent Karmen Petrovic will be making an appearance for Game Changer Wrestling at their Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport XIII event on April 17th in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Petrovic joins Natalya, Pete Dunne, and Karrion Kross as those from WWE currently announced to be competing at GCW’s upcoming event.


WCCW Announcer Bill Mercer Passes Away at 99 Years Old

Former World Class Championship Wrestling Bill Merceer passed away on Sunday at the age of 99.

Mercer’s passing was first announced by Dallas Cowboys announcer Brad Sham on social media.

Mercer’s wrestling broadcasting career spanned from the 1950s to the 1980s and was most known for his time as the lead announcer for WCCW from 1982 to 1987.

Outside of wrestling, Mercer was known for his time as a news broadcaster with CBS KRLD-TV (current KDFW) and was the first person to break the news to Lee Harvey Oswald that he was charged with murdering President John F. Kennedy several hours after Kennedy had been assassinated in 1963.

Mercer was also known in sports for his time as the color announcer in 1965 and later as the play-by-play announcer from 1966 to 1971 for the Dallas Cowboys during his decades long sports broadcasting career.

Mercer’s notable broadcasting career accolades and achievements includes inductions into the Texas Radio Hall of Fame (2002) and Texas Sports Hall of Fame (2020).


Steph De Lander Releasing New Book This April

TNA Wrestling and indies talent Steph De Lander announced on Twitter that she will be releasing a new book this April.

This upcoming new book is titled What’s The Best That Could Happen?: My Love Letter To Pro Wrestling and will be released on April 18th for both hardcover and e-book.
