Dixie Carter Announces Passing of Her Mother Janice

Former TNA Wrestling President Dixie Carter announced on Facebook that her mother Janice passed away on Sunday.

“I’m heartbroken that my precious mama passed away last night. I’m heartbroken for all selfish reasons. I will miss her in more ways than I could ever count. It’s such a surreal feeling and I know the weight of it has not hit me yet. I will survive knowing she is with God and surrounded by her family in heaven. Please pray for our family as we have lost our Honies, our rock. She was the most amazing mom and I have been so blessed in countless ways by her. She loved her family fiercely and there was nothing more important except her love for God. She was beautiful, smart, a great businesswoman, giving, tough, and always helping others. I will live every day for the rest of my life trying to do the same and to make you proud. I love you so much, mama. I’m going to miss you like crazy”

Cain Velasquez Sentenced to Prison for 2022 Attempted Murder Incident

As noted before, former MMA fighter and WWE wrestler Cain Velasquez was arrested following an attempted murder shooting incident in February of 2022 in San Jose, California.

Fightful’s Skylar Russell reported that Velasquez was sentenced on Monday to five years in prison with time served for the charges against him by Judge Arthur Bocanergra in Santa Clara, California.

Velasquez had pleaded no contest to the charges against him prior to his sentencing.

In regards to the time served, Velasquez was credited with 1,283 days served in prison meaning that he is currently scheduled to get out of prison in less than two years from now.

NBC Bay Area reporter Ian Cull reported that the victims were “extremely disappointed” with the decision and had felt the judge factored in “unfounded allegations” for his sentencing ruling.
