Anthem Sports Group President Carlos Silva Issues Statement About Tuesday’s Management Changes in Anthem & TNA

As noted before, Anthem made another shakeup to the management teams for their company and TNA Wrestling. Eight executives were fired as part of a round of firings affecting both companies. Among those who departed TNA included TNA Talent Relations and Producing Gail Kim.

In an official statement to PWInsider’s Mike Johnson, Anthem Sports Group President Carlos Silva stated that the reason for Tuesday’s management shakeups was due to Anthem’s current restructuring plans for TNA.

“Today, we announced a restructuring, resulting in staffing changes at TNA Wrestling. These decisions are always difficult, but it became apparent that we needed to make adjustments to our business strategies. We are grateful for those who worked here and thank them for their years of dedication to the company. Finally, we want our fans to know that we are committed to producing the absolute best product and highest-quality content that we can, and we appreciate their continued support.”

Hardy stated “I do, and I think Jeff does as well, because Jeff has an even more vested interest in Leon. Jeff was Leon’s favorite wrestler growing up, right? His whole Swanton 450 that he does is kind of like an homage to Jeff. Leon is a great guy. He’s 20 years old. He’s crazy athletic, and he gets it. He gets the idea of how you need to be physical, and there needs to be aggression in what you’re doing for there to be a level of believability in it that you need. That’s something that Michael Hayes instilled in both of us. Yes, I do think Leon is someone that we would like to help and teach, and do all that we can to give him all of the later-in-wrestling lessons that we can to help him progress his movement. He’s a great guy on top all this.” (Transcript h/t: Fightful.com)
