AJ Styles Comments on His Interest in a Potential Future Return to TNA
A recent episode of the Insight with Chris Van Vliet podcast featured AJ Styles as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Styles’ thoughts about his interest in making a potential return to TNA Wrestling in the future. Styles also confirmed that he was in attendance backstage at this past December’s Final Resolution 2024 event in Atlanta, Georgia.
“I don’t know (if my return to TNA Wrestling will happen). I’d like it to. I think it’d be fun to do something like that. Like a one-off. I would definitely do it… It would wouldn’t it (old TNA theme song would have to be used for my comeback)? It kind of would.
So, I went up and visited as they were in Atlanta. Maybe a month or two ago. Frankie Kazarian was there so I was able to hang out with him but there was so many other people there that I was like, ‘Oh my gosh. Oh wow,’ you know? Gail Kim, Christy Hemme, those are my guys. But, Eric Young, also there. But it was really cool to see — I thought it looked really good. I think they did a really good job and I know they don’t have a lot of money to work with but for what they had, I thought looked really good. I was like, man, these guys are really doing something. So, it’s exciting to see and I hope that we continue to work with TNA-WWE and help them as much as they’re helping us because NXT talent being shown in TNA and vice versa, it’s good for everybody.”

Sonya Deville Comments on Future of Her Wrestling Career & Potential Return to MMA
A recent episode of The Ariel Helwani Show featured former WWE talent Sonya Deville as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Deville’s thoughts about the future of her wrestling career.
“I don’t know what I want to do yet. That’s the truth. I have had conversations with people, but nothing decided yet. I love wrestling, but I loved fighting MMA just the same. They are in the same boat right now. I had three amateur fights before I got to WWE. The only reason I stopped fighting MMA was because I got the opportunity for WWE and I was broke and bartending in LA and WWE offered me a salary to workout and train. I’d be stupid to say no, and it led me down this path that the last decade was, and I fell in love with it. My first love was fighting and acting in LA. That door is not closed either.”
Deville also gave her thoughts about if she would continue wrestling or just pop up and the potential of her returning to MMA.
“The chances of me continuing my wrestling career and the chances of me reigniting my MMA career are about the same right now.”
Deville also gave her thoughts about if any MMA promotions have already reached out to her for a potential deal.
“No, because I haven’t even put that feeler out there. I didn’t even plan to say that. I’ve just been thinking about MMA because [I was doing your show]. I’m at the stage of my life where everything is going to be based on what I want and what I feel inside, not for any other reason. Wherever my passion is strongest is where I’m going to go.”
