Seth Rollins vs. Roman Reigns vs. CM Punk Match to Main Event Night 1 of WWE WrestleMania 41

Friday’s WWE SmackDown show at The O2 in London, England featured the announcement of the Triple Threat match of Seth Rollins vs. Roman Reigns vs. CM Punk will be the main event match for Night 1 of WrestleMania 41 on April 19th at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.

During the show, Paul Heyman, Reigns, Rollins, and Punk all came out to the ring for their WrestleMania 41 match contract signing. Heyman and Reigns were the first to come out to the ring. Reigns basked in the crowd chanting and singing to him and after some words, he signed the match contract to make his participation official.

Before Reigns could finish saying that his business is done, Rollins’ music played to interrupt and came out to the ring. Rollins talked about his past history with Reigns in The Shield and how a lot has changed in twelve years over their relationship. Reigns responded stating that “we” died a long time ago and its only been him who has built this company up and made it valuable to Netflix. Rollins responded blaming Reigns for letting the biggest snake into the garden in reference of CM Punk. Rollins stated that Roman could have cut him off at the head at WarGames but he shook his hand instead. Rollins then stated that he is forced to clean up Roman’s mess again.

This led to Punk’s music playing and him coming out to the ring. After some soaking in of the crowd chanting his name and some words, Punk sat down and started to look through the match contract to the annoyance of Reigns. This led to Reigns telling Heyman to smarten Punk up which led to Heyman telling Punk that he knows what he is looking for and its in there. Heyman revealed that this match is closing the show at WrestleMania and Punk gets to live his dream of main eventing the biggest show of the year. This led to some words in response by Reigns only to be interrupted by an irate Rollins who stated that Punk doesn’t deserve the honor. After some words by Punk in happiness over the announcement, Reigns told Punk to tell him to thank his Tribal Chief for this.

This led to Punk getting up from his chair and went to a knee in front of Reigns. Punk thanked his Tribal Chief for the opportunity to get the chance to main event WrestleMania. As the crowd chanted “you deserve it,” Punk got up and thanked Reigns again for this and stated that this is not the favor that he is owed. Punk then dropped the microphone as the show went to a close.
