Saraya Announces “Mutual” Departure from AEW

As noted before, Saraya has been absent from AEW television since this past October due to her currently being on a break for outside television projects.

Saraya provided an update earlier today on Twitter announcing that she has officially departed from AEW and that the decision was a mutual one.

“It’s mutual! But I loved my time at AEW and I had such a blast with the girls there. It’ll hold a special place in my heart. Tony was a great, AEW was great. I feel so lucky to be apart of this family for a couple years. Here’s to 2025! Wtf am I gonna get myself into now 🤔😂”

Entertainment Weekly published exclusive quotes from a yet-to-be-released debut episode of Saraya’s new podcast series called Rulebreakers With Saraya, which officially launches this Thursday.

“I’m here to tell you that me and AEW’s relationship has come to an end. I had an amazing time there. There’s no bad blood between us. I had such a magical time.

That’s not to say I will never come back to AEW — I absolutely love it. But I’m taking a little step back and focusing on myself for a bit, and putting my energy into the podcast with all the crew here. What a wonderful crew I have here.”

Saraya also gave her thanks to AEW, AEW fans, and AEW CEO Tony Khan for her time in the company.

“Thank you, AEW. Thank you to the AEW fans — I loved my f—ing time there. Tony’s f—ing awesome. And anyone that goes to work there will just enjoy their time. It’s just great. And I’ll miss the girls’ locker room. I’ll miss you, but don’t be a f—ing stranger! You know where I am. I see some of you outside the company anyway.”
