Rumor Killers on John Cena Heel Character “Break-A-Wish” Plans & Lifetime Achievement Award at Special Fan Event During WrestleMania 41 Weekend

Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp reported in a recent Q&A article that his sources denied a recent rumor about WWE officials current plans to separate John Cena from his record shattering Make-A-Wish for his current heel persona. This rumor had also claimed that WWE had trademarked the phrase “Break-A-Wish” as part of their plans for Cena’s heel run.

Sapp reported that the rumor claiming that it came from Fightful is just a “fake story credited to us” and “it’s not a real thing.” Sapp also reported that WWE officials actual plans for Cena’s heel character and presentation changes is a closely guarded secret within the company.

Besides the debunked “Break-A-Wish” rumor, another rumor involving Cena was also recently debunked. This rumor originated from PWInsider’s Mike Johnson who had initially reported that Cena would be receiving a Lifetime Achievement award as part of a special fan lunch event hosted by On Location on April 19th Las Vegas, Nevada. This special event is limited to just 20 fans at a “five-star restaurant” and a price tag of $25,000 per person.

WrestlingHeadlines.com reported that their sources denied being true that Cena would be receiving a lifetime achievement award as part of this special fan lunch event.

In a follow-up report, Mike Johnson reported that a WWE spokesperson had contacted him and confirmed that Cena will not be receiving a lifetime achievement award as part of this special event. Johnson reported that the original source for his initial report was promotional material from On Live that had listed this special event and the announcement of an award.
