Lucha Libre AAA talent Alberto El Patron, former Alberto Del Rio in WWE, has been suspended from wrestling in Tijuana, Mexico for six months following a fan incident at a recent event for AAA.
This incident took place at AAA’s event on March 14th at the Auditorio de Tijuana in the city. Following his match against El Hijo del Dr. Wager Jr., El Patron left the ring to confront a fan in the stands.
Footage of this incident showed El Patron arguing with several people and throwing a chair leading to someone throwing a chair in his direction in response. Those in attendance and reports of the incident stated that an elderly woman was hurt during the incident and taken to a local hospital.
Several people who had attended the event stated that fans were throwing coins at El Patron before the incident escalated.

Following the incident, the Tijuana Commission issued an official statement suspending El Patron for 180 days from wrestling in the city as punishment for his involvement in the incident.
“In the city of Tijuana, Baja California, on the 17th day of March 2025, in the facilities of the honorable wrestling commission, located at 12421 Diaz Ordaz Boulevard, estate El Paraiso, zip code 22440, in an extraordinary meeting and with the presence of a legal quorum, it was determined that in accordance with the established in the wrestling regulations for the city of Tijuana, Baja California, it was determined that the wrestling regulations for the city of Tijuana, Baja California, would be in effect on the 17th day of March, 2025.

In regards to AAA, Rob Viper reported on Twitter that AAA has two upcoming television tapings scheduled to take place in Baja California during El Patron’s suspension but these tapings are in Ensenada and Rosarito. Viper reported that El Patron likely would be able to work at those shows for AAA.
