Ricochet Missed Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite Show Due to Preparing to Wed to Samantha Irvin
Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show in St. Paul, Minnesota featured AEW International Champion Kenny Omega defeating Blake Christin in a singles match. Following the match, Omega gave a promo talking about his upcoming Three-way match for his title at AEW Dynasty. This led to one of his challengers “Speedball” Mike Bailey coming out to respond but Ricochet only showing up on video on the big screen.
Ricochet stated that the reason why he was not able to be in-person for the show was due to him preparing to get married to former WWE ring announcer Samantha Irvin.

New Matches Announced for This Saturday’s AEW Collision & Next Week’s AEW Dynamite Shows, Jamie Hayter Return Set for Saturday’s Collision Show
AEW announced several new matches for the cards of this week’s AEW Collision show on March 29th at the UM Panther Arena in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and next week’s Dynamite show on April 2nd at the Peoria Civic Center in Peoria, Illinois.
In regards to this Saturday’s AEW Collision show, five new matches were announced which were:
- Top Flight (Darius & Dante Martin) vs. The Learning Tree (Big Bill & Bryan Keith)
- Wheeler Yuta vs. Dax Harwood
- Jay White vs. Kevin Knight
- Jamie Hayter vs. Queen Aminata
- Mercedes Mone vs. mystery opponent
In regards to next week’s AEW Dynamite show, one new match and one new segment were announced which were:
- Mixed Tornado Tag Team match – Death Riders (Jon Moxley & Marina Shafir) vs. Swerve Strickland & Willow Nightingale
- Will Ospreay to appear

Former TNA and WWE announcer Josh Matthews and former WWE, WCW, and ECW wrestler Perry Saturn reportedly were in attendance backstage at Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show in St. Paul, Minnesota, according to PWInsider.
Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show in St. Paul also featured Cal Bloom, former WWE NXT talent Von Wagner, making a surprise appearance. Bloom made an appearance as one of the security guards during the pull-apart for the Powerhouse Hobbs and Mark Davis pre-match brawl segment on the show.
AEW recently released a new video featuring The Outrunners promoting the upcoming Minecraft film. This upcoming new film was the official sponsor for Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show in St. Paul, Minnesota.
AEW held two dark matches prior to the start of Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show in St. Paul. These matches were Julia Hart defeating Robyn Renegade in a singles match and Bishop Kaun defeating Jay Lethal in a singles match.
As noted before, Saraya departed from AEW on Wednesday. Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp reported that his sources stated that there were many within AEW who caught off guard by Saraya’s departure announcement.
Britt Baker has been noticeably absent from AEW programming since this past November. Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp reported that his sources confirmed that Baker is still under contract with AEW and her deal does not expire for quite some time. Rumors of Baker had departed from AEW originated online over claims that Baker had recently got rid of all mentions of AEW on her social media accounts.
Anthony Bowens was among the guests who had attended the red carpet premiere for the second season of The Last of Us television series in Los Angeles, California.
As noted before, last week’s AEW Dynamite show in Omaha,Nebraska featured Jon Moxley defeating Cope in a Street Fight match to retain the AEW World Championship. This match was notable for Moxley getting suplexed onto a spiked bat and some of the spikes being stuck on Moxley’s back that required the assistance of Wheeler Yuta and the match referee to pull the bat out. Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp reported in a recent Q&A article that he has not heard anything from his sources regarding Warner Bros Discovery officials having any issues with Moxley’s spot on last week’s show. Sapp reported that WBD and AEW officials have production meetings every Monday to go over stuff and anything that might be possibly controversial for AEW shows plans for the week.
